Yeah, best he dies before we start spelling his name correctly: Arzt, not Artz

Well it's better than Leslie. :lol2:

Although Leslie was originally a males name along with Marion.

And Kim....
Yeah I didn't pick up on the fact that we all had his name wrong until last night's episode. Hey, I still call the person who died earlier Sceve cuz I don't know who it is ::)

I really hope that Artz dies, that guy is a **BEEP**.

How is this a Spoiler Theory?

Clearly your rude and crude description of Arzt and your desire to see him killed is based on his behaviour in aired episodes, no?

Moving this to a more suitable section.

I think he's either going to become a regular or one that is killed off.

Damon referred to Daniel Roebuck as a new season regular on the linear board a few months back.

Though that doesn't mean he can't get killed off!

I can't see him getting killed off now, when he was only just introduced and we don't really know anything about him.
And apparently I'm in the minority, but I'm really looking forward to finding out about his past and why he ended up on the island. Even if he does have issues with people mispronouncing his name. :P

Even though he might seem abraisive to us he has also been on Craphole Island for about a month and unlike our main survivors he looks the part! :) While he might have difficultiies not treatig the others as sutdents or children It hink he also has a lot of knowledge to offer the group. Locke knows "survival" science, Jakc knows medical science, and he can tell them things about the winds and meterology.

It will be intersting how it plays out as Locke currently holds the position. Maybe they'll butt heads or if two sides do split off maybe he will be able to counsel the non-Locke side.

I'm glad he's dead.
Personally, I think it has become quite clear now that he didn't know that much. Dumb-*** blew himself up :/

Furthermore, although I think the tongue in cheek comments Arzt made in the last episode were quite effective, I think the producers were not only poking fun at their own work, but also at the people who made these comments in the first place.
I mean, take his comments for instance about 14 people or so arranging everything and the rest just hanging around doing nothing or following orders. At first, this might seem unrealistic since there are 48 survivors, and Arzt may be right in his criticism. But then again: isn't this the way it goes in real life aswell? In a crisis situation, a minority decides to take action, and then on the long run some of the other people will bring up the old "who elected you leader" argument. I don't know about you guys, but I for one was not really thinking "Hey Arzt, you're right man!", I was rather thinking something like "Oh no, you're one of THAT kind... well who forbid YOU to contribute!?"

Reactions?

I agree that Arzt comments may have been the writers/producers/JJ poking fun at themselves and what ppl have been saying. I had heard he was going to be a new regular so was surprised when he got blown up. Didn't see that one coming. However, I wouldn't call him a dumb-***! He was handling the dynamite as carefully as he knew how. trying to instruct the rest so they wouldn't be hurt, when the volatile natural of the explosive showed itself. Maybe his was the sacrificial death so none of the remaining main 14 had to die!
