Seriously, that was probably my favorite episode of the season so far! So many revelations and loose ends tied up! I might have to watch it again just to make sure I caught everything.
Oh, and how did the Observer get past Walternate's security detail? lol

That was a great episode!
My main question now, is why dont Peter or Olivia remember any of this?
Olivia should have recognized "Dr. Walter" way back in the pilot when they sprung him from the loony bin.
By the way - does anyone know the name of the actor who played Olivia's stepdad? He looked familiar to me, but he isn't listed on the IMDB episode page.

I bet we find out why Olivia and Peter don't remember pretty soon. I wonder if they had pieces of their brains taken out too?

I loved this episode too! When I realized little Olivia was talking to Walternate, not Walter, I almost fell out of my chair.
The moment when Peter's mom had to save him in the frozen lake was incredible too. I knew he couldn't die, but my heart was pounding anyway. And what a great job that actress did of showing me the guilt she felt because of what Peter was going through. I can now see how that festered and caused her to eventually commit suicide.

I can understand why Peter doesn't remember, because he doesn't remember the fact that he was taken either. He's blocked it out I suppose. I assume Olivia did something similiar, since we know that after this incident Walter went onto experiment upon her further with tests that were designed to make her afraid. She might have blocked out everything that has anything to do with Walter since her experience with him was negative and scary.

That sounds like a good explanation. I'll bet they all had their brain matter removed at the same time.

A few questions? (http://www.tvguide.com/News/Questions-Fringes-Flashback-1030121.aspx)
Like the fire one.

I loved this episode. The Walternate surprise was totally awesome.
Re: Sam's link of questions. I think the question of the betamax video is a continuity error. Instead of Olive crying in a corner because she caused a fire, we get a flashback where she runs away because of a fire. I doubt that the writers want us to think that it was more than one fire that she caused.
UNLESS the video with her crying in the corner was the fire that killed the lab assistant, which I think is a pretty amazing theory that the TV Guide link offers. Especially because that would mean that Olivia was (in a way) the reason that Walter ended up in the looney bin. Now *that* would be one more crazy connection -- and I wouldn't put it past them.
As for the "snow" -- I don't think it was snowing. I am going to rewatch tonight, but I thought it was supposed to be white tulip petals... ?
I don't know why Peter and Olivia don't remember, but the theory about the brain pieces removal makes sense. I think it is more than them simply blocking it out.
Great ep!

We get a rerun of a Fringe episode at 11pm in LA. Tonight is "The Box" (3.2)

I just rewatched Subject 13. I can't believe I missed the whole snow thing. Maybe it's because I'm in MA, and it's been snowy so much here all winter. But I kind of forgot they were in FL, and that it's not normal for there to be snow in Jacksonville. And I missed Peter's line "Did you mention that?"
Whoops. Yeah, she did imagine it and she made it possible. Very interesting.
I think the more and more that adult Olivia becomes in touch with her childhood emotions, the more she will open up and lose some of her guard. She says she wants that. So if she can imagine it, she should be able to do it. I mean, she at least let down her guard enough to sleep with Peter last episode. :)

I also was really impressed with it--intense episode when some pretty big emotional and mythological reveals.
