Well... if you've been looking around... you've probably noticed all of those threads about how "Hurley was on the island before the crash" junk.... now, I've heard that the only reason WHY he ISN'T on the plane, is because, his character didn't exist during the time of that shoot.... is this correct? And also... was he on the island before... cuz I seriously doubt that........

all the characters existed on the page well before shooting began.

well, if you ever see an episode where the characters stumble upon an easter island-like valley populated entirely by huge stone statues of hurley, that will pretty much settle the issue... until we spring that on you (or a hurley flashback episode) you are just going to have to wait for the answers...
