I think we will definatly see another backstory for Michael and Walt. From his other story, it seems as if he wanted Walt all along. He continued to write him letters. They never did say if Brian ever adopted Walt. So I wonder what the "plan" was if it wasn't to take care of Walt. I can see that it wasn't the plan while Walt's mother was alive. But I would think that as soon as he heard the news, he would be glad to have his son.
