View Full Version : What's your 'type'? Type the cast!
Hekawi 12-10-2004, 04:11 PM Hi Lostkateers! Sabrina posted a link to a fun personality test over on the LB, and I volunteered to start a thread here - take the test yourself, and then take a few for the Lost cast. Maybe it will help explain or predict their actions (or not!) but at the very least it's fun.
Link to the free test: <a href="http://www.humanmetrics.com/cgi-win/JTypes2.asp"Test</a>
(Well, the codes work a bit differently here.... ::)
crazymoose 12-10-2004, 05:37 PM According to this test I am INFJ. I love languages, cool.
cashmere lady 12-10-2004, 06:01 PM I am INFP
"INFPs never seem to lose their sense of wonder..."
katejones 12-10-2004, 06:06 PM I am an INFP. Pretty accurate!
Tari Luinwe 12-10-2004, 06:11 PM I am a INFJ. ;D

LockeMeUp 12-10-2004, 07:30 PM I am an INTJ. The article said only about 1% of the population are INTJs. Some of the stuff in the article explaining INTJ was really hitting the nail on the head, other stuff only a litte.
Neat, though.
Hekawi 12-11-2004, 03:06 AM I'll do mine later, but I did one pretending to be Jack, as an experiment. I came up with ISTJ for him, an Inspector Guardian - "superdependable"!
zia319 12-11-2004, 12:01 PM I am an INTJ
You are:

INFJ - Introverted Intuitive Feeling Judging
* very expressed introvert
* slightly expressed intuitive personality
* moderately expressed feeling personality
* slightly expressed judging personality
Sherri Gail 12-11-2004, 09:51 PM I got INFJ, too. At least it's 3/4 accurate (I'm more perceptive than judgmental).
I took this test back in college, and got ENFP at that time. Also 3/4 accurate (I'm not an extrovert, either, lol).
- Gail
girlspy15 12-11-2004, 10:01 PM Well, I got INTP. I dont think I'm that critical of others however, but evertime I take one of these tests, I get a different result. I dont know, maybe it's me, but I think last time I got an INFJ, and before that I was on the borderline of being an extrovert. How scary is that. Totally not me. But these little tests are fun nonetheless.
rabgal 12-12-2004, 12:30 AM Jin: ESTJ
sorry, can't see Jin as an Extrovert
I'm a tried and true ENFJ .. I've taken Meyers Brigg; Kiersey and now this one with the same answer.
Woo Hooo just reading one of the links and Johnny Depp, John Cusack, Oprah Winfrey and Ben Stiller are ENFJs
Hekawi 12-12-2004, 03:22 AM I am INTJ
very expressed introvert
slightly expressed intuitive personality
slightly expressed thinking personality (weird, because I'm always analyzing...maybe I'm just not good at it! haha)
moderately expressed judging personality
And Sabrina - I did one for jack just before you posted and you were spot on about him!
Starlet 12-13-2004, 03:01 AM I'm an ENFP! Some of those things sounded pretty good to me! Although I've never taken a test that called me "extroverted" before. Finally!
"ENFPs are both "idea"-people and "people"-people, who see everyone and everything as part of an often bizarre cosmic whole. They want to both help (at least, their own definition of "help") and be liked and admired by other people, on both an individual and a humanitarian level. They are interested in new ideas on principle, but ultimately discard most of them for one reason or another. "
Prncssleia 12-13-2004, 01:05 PM ENFJ Here!
ENFJs are, by definition, Js, with whom we associate organization and decisiveness. But they don't resemble the SJs or even the NTJs in organization of the environment nor occasional recalcitrance. ENFJs are organized in the arena of interpersonal affairs. Their offices may or may not be cluttered, but their conclusions (reached through feelings) about people and motives are drawn much more quickly and are more resilient than those of their NFP counterparts.
I told you to trust me!
Stephanie
ipokebadgerswstiks 12-13-2004, 02:29 PM i am an ENFP. that was kinda weird cuz it was really true! goodness gracious!!! lol that was really fun. i wonder if yall feel that any of the cast/characters (whatever) have that too?
Starlet 12-13-2004, 03:33 PM I'd be cool if some of the cast took the test...it'd be interesting to see what they'd get. I'd attempt to take the test as if I were one of the characters, but they're all too mysterious right now, I don't know how I'd answer. :)
JordanMcCoyIsLost 12-13-2004, 10:02 PM I got ISTP Introverted Sensing Thinking Perceiving

YUP that's me in a nutshell
ISTJs are most at home with "just the facts, Ma'am." which makes it difficult for me to watch a show like Lost, I don't pay enough attention to what's going on in the background.
ISTJs are easily frustrated by the inconsistencies of others, especially when the second parties don't keep their commitments.my husband could attest to this one.
Fictional ISTJs:
Eeyore (Winnie the Pooh) i am not nearly that bad
Puddleglum, the marshwiggle (Chronicles of Narnia)
and Cliffy from Cheers, i could see myself parking at the end of a quiet bar at the end of the day and kicking back a few beers.

themarvelousmattyd 12-16-2004, 12:26 PM Wow, I'm surprised how many INTJ's we've had here in two pages... (AM am one too)
It's good to know that despite all the changes in my life these past two years, my personality has remained stable...
I be:
slightly expressed introvert
moderately expressed intuitive personality
slightly expressed thinking personality
very expressed judging personality
Carencey 12-18-2004, 01:03 AM I'm an ENTP.* You are:
moderately expressed extrovert
moderately expressed intuitive personality
slightly expressed thinking personality
slightly expressed perceiving personality
This was a short test--typically I think I would score as a slightly expressed extrovert rather than moderate.
On the full Myers-Briggs I took my freshman year in college, I scored as an ENFP.* The tester herself was an ENFP, and noted that we are the most likely to test differently as we get older--guess we're rather flaky and tend to be forced to be more organized.* I'm not surprised that nearly ten years of science related study have switched that F to a T.
I always liked these too http://soli.inav.net/~catalyst/Humor/mbprayer.htm.* Prayers for the different personality types--definitely more humorous than religious.* I still identify most with the ENFP prayer!
arickan 12-18-2004, 01:19 AM Me = ISFJ

Well, sounds about right....I'm probably a bit more on the judging...
surreality_fan 12-27-2004, 09:45 PM I just retook the test because I don't remember my results from before and I came up:
ENFP
slightly expressed extrovert
moderately expressed intuitive personality
slightly expressed feeling personality
moderately expressed perceiving personality
mnemosyne23 12-27-2004, 10:37 PM Well, according to the test, I'm an INFJ (http://keirsey.com/personality/nfij.html).* The description certainly fits me quite a bit!* But I think, if a couple of my answers had been different, I would more likely have fallen into the ISFJ (http://typelogic.com/isfj.html) camp.* I mean, this:
In the workplace, ISFJs are methodical and accurate workers, often with very good memories and unexpected analytic abilities; they are also good with people in small-group or one-on-one situations because of their patient and genuinely sympathetic approach to dealing with others. ISFJs make pleasant and reliable co-workers and exemplary employees, but tend to be harried and uncomfortable in supervisory roles. They are capable of forming strong loyalties, but these are personal rather than institutional loyalties; if someone they've bonded with in this way leaves the company, the ISFJ will leave with them, if given the option.
Gyah, been there, DONE that.* All of that, even down to leaving a workplace because a close friend left.* That's me in a workplace nutshell.* LOL!*
Faith.In.Fate 12-28-2004, 08:27 AM Figured I would do mine first and then think of how the cast is and work on that later..
Type - INJF
Introverted - 89%
Intuitive - 33%

Judging - 1%
"Writing, counseling, public service and even politics are areas where INFJs frequently find their niche.".. too true, I love to write and I'm also usually the one my friends and even family members come to just to talk things out with.
Both profiles were spot on when it comes to me. I guess the best way to get to know me is to read that.. at least, that will help people understand me. lol
drive_shaft 12-28-2004, 09:37 AM LOL, I'm a sucker for these quizzes.

I'm a ESFP! The descriptions fit almost too well. Kinda freaky! I'm gonna have to send this to my friends and link it on my website. Very cool!!
"Where's the party?" ESFPs love people, excitement, telling stories and having fun. The spontaneous, impulsive nature of this type is almost always entertaining. And ESFPs love to entertain -- on stage, at work, and/or at home. Social gatherings are an energy boost to these "people" people.
Performers also like to live in the fast lane of society, and seem up on latest fads of dress, food, drink, and entertainment, the chic new fashion, the "in" nightclub, the "hot" new musical group. Energetic and uninhibited, Performers create a mood of "eat, drink, and be merry" wherever they go, and life around them can have a continual party-like atmosphere.

For 1% of the population, there seems to be alot of INTJ's out there. Maybe that becasue of the type of people who watch the show. Any thoughts?
jkupc 01-23-2005, 06:23 AM ISFJ. This would explain why I always get Jack on "Who are you on Lost quizes". ISFJ sounds a lot like Jack-O.
