I just saw some ad on MTV Europe (Nordig region) that the Norwegian cable distributor is gonna REMOVE MTV from their basic package from July 1st. The Norwegian music Channel THE VOICE seems to be their replacement. Personally alot of the music on MTV is too youth based for me but I still prefer that channel to the VOICE, if ANYTHING let them BOTH be there. They got loads of sports channels, (TV2Extra wich is mostly football, Europsort, Canal + sport and what have you), why not 2 music channels in the basic package??

So this sucks big time if you ask me! So I plead to the Norwegians on the board here go to http://www.fightformtv.com and place your opinion! Let Canal Digital know that this ain't right!

Marketresearch claims that the channel is not poplar but it seems like only 8 % of the ppl asked were under 30 years of age. Of course alot of adults may not CARE about the channel, and yes I do not watch it all that much. Howerver I LIKE it to be there..and I LIKE to have the option!

So go support your MTV* and spread this message to other boards! (keep it on the OFF topic sections of the board though!)
