I can understand a few words here and there from each of those languages, but I'm not fluent. But my first language is English, I am hoping to take a Russian class soon!! Starrox 06-21-2005, 10:17 AM Well, in theory 5 - German, of course, had English (10 years), French (5 years) and Spanish (6 years) in school and somehow picked up some Swedish - but I haven't had a French or Spanish lesson in at least 5 years, so I've forgotten a lot, and my knowledge of Swedish is mostly passive (meaning I can understand written Swedish and some spoken Swedish, but I know almost nothing about grammar and can only say/write some basic things), so it's more like 3,5 languages ;) Mads13 06-21-2005, 10:54 AM English and a bit of German :P I wish I knew more lostinchitown 06-21-2005, 12:17 PM English and Bad English. God's tom 06-21-2005, 01:42 PM I have the complete run of a comic called "Starman", & in one of the later issues, the writer thought it would be "interesting" to put an intire sequence of dialog in French - with no translation! So I had to get a French / English dictionary from the library to figure out what was going on! What amazes me is how much of it I was able to figure out without the dictionary! :dizzy: |
