I assume you mean the thing that looks like a big snake? I think it is a downed palm tree trunk that has been there a while. Thus no roots hanging off the end that looks like a head.

If that's not what you're talking about, then I don't know, because all I see is rocks, sand, water and that tree.

There is a rumor of a snake on Lost, and I've heard many different takes on it, so if it's true, maybe it is a snake. Another thought is they were going to use a snake and nixed the idea.
