Don't make fun, but we have yet to get either one of these gadgets.* However, we want to get one for Christmas.* I was wondering if anyone had any helpful information as to which one is the best option.* We currently have digital cable and all I really want to do is record Lost.* ;)

Tivo IS DVR.

DVR just means Digital Video Recording.

They're pretty much all the same, since you've got digital cable it might be better for you to get whatever your cable company makes because it'll interface the best.

I have TiVO and love it...but it hooks up to directTV easier than anything else because they're in contract with them.
