Found these letters, and haven't seen anyone else post them. From Oceanic-Air.com, behind the Important Announcement billboard are two messages. You have to select all, copy and paste elsewhere to read them.

Jack's last name is Sheppard, obviously a cheap reference to guiding the rest of the sheep.
His father's name is Christian.

Christian Sheppard. A Christian sheppard. I'd go further with it, but there was a bible reference in there that escapes me for the moment.
