Would someone with the DVD please play the scene with Boone talking on the radio in the Drug Runner's plane, with subtitles on, and find out once and for all whether the reply was, "There were no survivors of flight 815", or "We're the survivors of flight 815".

yeah tv guide published something a while ago with one of the important people saying that the transmission was "we're the survivors"

It said "We are the survivors" - but they said it differently than Boone did, so it also wasn't Boone's voice playing back to him.

Yes, the DVD says "We're the survivors of Flight 815," but when the episode first aired, I swear the transmission said: "There were no survivors of Flight 815." I wish I had recorded that episode to prove it!

Libby was shown holding the radio in episode 2.5-the tail survivors were broadcasting/echoing Boones message in 1.21

I had forgotten all about that scene......okay so know I have to hand it to the writers for actually wrapping up a loose end. With all the new mysteries in every episode I can't keep track.

In 1.21, the invisible party we assume is Bernard says what sounds like "... survivers of Oceanic flight 815." In 2.5, Bernard says "We're the survivors of flight 815." What's the obvious difference? The first says "Oceanic". The second doesn't.

There's still a mystery -- or an error.

I think it's just an error or the radio cut out at "Oceanic." I think this one is actually solved. But it is one of LOST's weird coincidences.

We did.
I watch every episode with Closed Captioning because I'm hearing impaired. The first time the show aired, the words on the screen were, "There were no survivors of flight 815." Later, the writers said the CC was typed wrong and that the line should have been, "We are the survivors of flight 815."

Subsequent re-runs have had the wording changed to reflect a clearer message.

I thought that it did say "There were no survivers of 815",but i also remembered people on the show not saying because it would prove ana-lucia didn' die.:undecide:

I think it was just an error in production.
