I saw him too. Is this supposed to drive home the fact that all of the people on the island have interacted with each other at some time previous to the crash? It was odd that Sceve was walking by just as Michael was saying goodbye to Walt forever. Then Sceve is on the scene when they reunite for the first time in 10 years. Hmm...

I was looking for people behind them during that scene. I thought I noticed someone familiar...

I think it was Dustin. Didn't Christian have very short hair? If so, then this was Dustin, because his hair was kinda longish and curly like it is on the show.

Right when Michael got up off the bench to see Walt, you can see Sceve (with a backpack I think) walking just to the right of them. He even glances at them. Later in the scene, someone passes them with their back to the viewer - and that person has a backpack on too but I couldn't tell if it was the same guy. If it was, why would he cross back through the scene? Will there be a flashback someday of Sceve seeing the scene in the park? Will it affect his life in some strange way?

I don't think this was an accident or a case of using an extra in several places. The writers are usually real careful about stuff like that. I'm sure it was Scott (who is now pretending to be Steve). Interesting.

I don't know...it looks like it could be Dustin...but I'm not sure. Dustin's hair isn't really that curly. Or big.

Ok, actually those two guys do look the same...but for some reason I though Dustin had shorter hair...I guess just based on his MySpace photo. That's really interesting.

I make be a little insane (lol) but I think this character's significance will be explained in a later episode since the writers said they would be bringing some of the extras forward into more prominent roles. And with the whole "mix-up" question surrounding Scott and Steve - and the apparent identity theft - this could make for an interesting backstory.

People! This guy in the white shirt is neither Christian, Dustin or Sceve in any way. In the shot from Homecoming, Scott is standing DIRECTLY BEHIND Michael. This white shirt guy is always around, but has never been given a name yet. Although the guy in the park looks kind of like him. Scott, (now calling himself "Steve") is tall and always wearing a blue shirt. White shirt guy is much shorter and more muscular.

I think so too. Also, look at the shape of the face and the nose, they look different to me.

Can anyone give me a quick recap of this theory, or else maybe point me towards a thread that discusses it?

The guy in the blue shirt in the park walks up behind Walt and Susan (as seen in several screencaps on this thread). Michael says his goodbye's. The ol' blue shirt walks by them again with only one strap of his backpack on.

Significant? Probably not. Extra's tend to mill around in several scenes on TV shows...but I thought someone might be interested.

Okay, I can add this observation - blue shirt guy wearing blue cargo shorts (whoever he may be) is wearing a nice watch, both at the funeral and at the park, but in the golf course shot neither Scott nor Steve wears a watch. (No, I don't know what that has to do with the price of peanuts on the moon.)

there's a guy in blue polo shirt and cargo shorts, right behind Charlie, holding a water bottle. Can't see the face, but the hair is similar. So we might not have a Skeve meeting Michael in passing, but a as yet unnamed lostaway.

Then again... the guy walking by Michael, Walt and Susan does bear a passing resemblance to Desmond. Same jaw line, same cheekbones. Could this be Desmond post meeting with Jack, during his 'race around the world'?

That other castaway has shown up a lot (most notably to me anyway during Boone's funeral) but he's definitely not the same guy as the dude in the park. Unnamed castaway is much shorter and stockier and wears glasses.

I agree with MPMom, the guy walking behind Susan is not Sceve, nor is the guy standing next to Claire at the fire.

If Sceve showed up somewhere in this episode, we haven't seen a screencap yet. But now I'll be on super vigilant lookout.

I think it's easier to see who it is when you watch it on video. The screencap seems to catch him when he's making a face and it kinda distorts his look a little bit.

Any comment from those who have rewatched the video???
