View Full Version : Error in Michael's flashback..

I agree that the flashback part of Michael was thrown together at the last minute. I believe that the season premiere was intended to be a two-hour premiere and someone at ABC made them split it into two episodes. Making us wait another entire week to find out what Jack's reaction to Desmond is and what he says to him is ridiculous...that was the worst part for me.

Also, I think there is an error in the Michael flashback, when Michael goes to see his lawyer for the first time, and the lawyer is going over the paperwork, the lawyer points out that Susan wants him to relinquish all custody/rights ot Walt, so that Brian can adopt him. Michael gets all worked up and seems shocked to hear this. But, if you look back at last season in the Michael flashbacks, Susan comes to the hospital after his accident and offers to pay all his medical bills...when Michael asks her "why", she tells him that her and Brian are getting married and that Brian wants to adopt Walt and she wants him to relinquish his rights as a father. So, why on earth was Michael so shocked to hear this from his lawyer?

I think this proves that the Micheal flashback was a last minute thing, thrown together to fill time, and that's why the writers missed this.

Just my two-cents.

I didn't think he was that shocked...maybe it really sunk in. Or he didn't realize he had to give up ALL paternal rights.

We're on the same page - I had the exact same thoughts about both things.

I agree. It was rushed and that's a damn shame.

Also, for the people who freak out about every crazy thing, did anyone notice that the actor playing the character of "Walt" was not Malcolm David Kelley?

I think I saw it, too. Of course...I'll need to see a screencap.
