This whole island is a series of experiments. There was never a plane crash! The "survivors" were all brought here by some sort of government agency or alien force. The "mind alterers" brain wash them all to believe they all got there by crash, it needs to make sense to them. (Russeau thinks she was shipwrecked). The first experiment is to see how they will survive, to find the strongest in the group. Survival of the fittest. Everyone starts off on an even plane (New legs, lose of drug addiction, etc...) The one who wins (survives) will replace Desmond in the hatch. There he/she will have to live until the replacement comes along.

Russeau was once in the hatch, so were "the others". Once out on the island again, they lose all memories of the hatch, but remember what brought them there, and are given a memory of how the others died.

Am I crazy, too sci-fi? Or is this whole thing about religion?

I think, if that were the case, I might have to hand deliver my fist to JJ's face. :p

Talk about pissed! I was only a kid when Dallas was on, but I do remember the hoohah that surrounded the, "It was just a dream" bit.

I wouldn't be totally upset if that was it but I think we're instore for much more creativity than that. (And, of course, if this is the true ending ... JJ, better get together with the writers and come up with a new ending! You've been busted, dude! :24:)
