The show keeps you guessing, you've got to give them that. Personally I wanted to see what happened to Locke and Kate in the hatch. Terry's dialogue with the crazy Aussie was riveting and who knew.. Lilly had such comedic range. I didn't mind the backtracking (half expected it) because they would be telling the raft story at the same time. The brand name shark and the stuffed polar bear were nice touches but how about those crazy people carrying the death sticks at the end. I'm rambling... great show. I'm sucked in again.

I know I'm probably looking for a fight with this parting shot but I have to say it... I've seen various descriptions of this episode, on both this site and elsewhere, regarded as "old hat" or "been there done that." And to that I ask: Oh really? Name one (past or present) show that has had this talented of an ensemble cast, level of mythology, writing, composing, cinematography and production value. There isn't one because this show is new territory. I honestly feel sorry for those viewers whose patience has already run out.

I very much agree with everything you have said. But honestly I expect most of the issues to go away once episode 3 airs. I think people are just antsy for that one ;)

Of course there are those that thrive off of criticizing anything and everything and they will never disappear. But the actual fans who felt let down this time, I expect things will pick up soon.

I'll be able to forgive "adrift" because it really does look like they've saved everything for next week.

It should blow some minds. For real.

I know what you guys mean. I can't wait for the next episode. Adrift, while it was definetly a good show, didn't blow my mind! I was ready for something bigger to happen. Although it did catch me off guard a couple of times. Oh...and sandleford, I think that Desmond is Scottish. I'm from Scotland, so I tend to notice these things, because they make me happy! haha! :)
