I'm not nautically-inclined -- can anyone confirm whether the type of model ship on display in the lawyer's office, seen here: http://img187.imageshack.us/img187/4166/watch18pr.jpg

is the same type of ship as the Black Rock?

Also: Michael's letters to Walt were kept in a small wooden box, as I recall. There's a small wooden box on the tabletop in the lawyer's office in that same screencap - can anyone confirm if the two boxes look alike?

I don't recall being able to see enough of the black rock to make a comparison.

Don't know about the ship, but the box in this episode is not the box that had Michael's letters to Walt. That box was simpler and I think of lighter wood. I'll try to find a screen cap.

I don't think they are the same type ship. The aft of The Black Rock was squarer, while this ship is more pointed. The Black Rock looks older. The model in the lawyers office looks like it would have sailed in the 1800's while the Black Rock looks more like 1700's. What do you think?

does the lawyers office remind anyone of the office where claire went to sign the adoption papers?

just going off memory, yes it does, maybe this law firm specializes in "special" children.

I'm a little confused, where did Claire live before the crash? Sydney?

yeah, her (Claire's) law firm would have been in Australia, but they do remind me of each other.

That was what my husband and I thought, too. They are way too similar, for whatever reason. I can't imagine that they just reused the room for cheapness sake, so I think there's something to it.
