In the mural we see two faces one white and one black.
If you look closely at the white face you will see long blond hair.
this could represent claire, or even alex.

The black face actually looks like a mask to me - it seems like the eyes and mouth are cut out. It's very eerie looking (well, moreso than the rest of the mural, anyway!)
Great shot, by the way!

It could also represent "Adam and Eve." Perhaps they were a black/white couple? I've often suspected this show may possess some ethnic underpinnings in addition to the obvious philosophical and ideological themes.

Good point...we've already seen one black/white couple (Susan and Brian) and I read somewhere that the actor who is playing Bernard (Rose's husband) is white, so that would be another. It fits in with the overall black/white themes.

Nice cap. Did you also notice on the bookshelf is a book/envelope? with a jesus looking face. It is torn or open in a diagonal tear, but above the face is the number 9, then I can't make out the rest.
Someone pointed out that Desmond was quick to pick up on Jack's 'women' problems and it could mean he is familiar with 'women' problems. Anyways it could be one of his ex girlfriends?
