I was just looking at tonights TV lineup and noticed that LOST is missing :eek: :mad:

I live in the Boston area, and am actually a big redsox fan, but I planned on recording LOST and watching sans commercials while keeping track of the game. I looked up the show on my local ABC affiliate website and it just says that Orientation will be on Saturday night at 8:00 (it runs during this time anyway apparently). Does anyone else here post form the MA area and have any freaking idea what's going on.....:confused:

I've been listening to Mix 98.5 this morning. They called channel 5 and the recording said that Lost would be shown AFTER THE LATE NEWS!!! Can you believe that?!? I just have to say, the Sox better play REALLY well tonight...


The good news is that WMUR - channel 12 - in NH seems to be showing Lost at 9. I don't know if that helps you, but I know it makes me happy!

Did they happen to say what time that would be? I know sometimes they show things at like 3:00AM...I still can't believe this....I'll have to stay away from here tomrrow....:mad:

MabelBall beat me to it... but I contact WCVB (ABC affiliate in Boston) and they emailed me back to say that LOST would be shown after the late news and it would be reshown on Saturday, 10/8 at 8:00 PM.

Needless to say I am pissed off. I have trouble staying away till 10:30 on a normal night and now I have to make it to 11:30 and beyond because I am NOT missing this episode.:)

Oh well. Go BoSox!

I am glad I moved from Boston last year....I will watch my Sox and Tivo LOST and watch it at the end of the game!

I just went to re-check the settings on my new DVR box to make sure I was set up to record tonight, and I find that at least in the Boston area, they're showing the Baseball playoffs. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :mad:

My condolences for you all. Last night I happened to check out the listings for tonight because I had wanted to watch HOUSE and it wasn't on because of the playoffs, but we're obviously still showing LOST tonight here in Wisconsin. Good idea on emailing the station... I'm sure there'll be many more upset LOST fans that can't watch the show, period, than upset Sox fans that can't find a place to watch the show.

Yea, it sucks that I cannot get any NH or RI stations (it's showing at the regular time on Channel 6 in Providence). I hate Comcast, I really do. This whole timing thing really screws up having to get up early in the morning, know what I mean?

TV Guide listings show that our local ABC affiliate, channel 5, will show the game, but it also shows that the RI affiliate will still be airing LOST at 9:00 pm. So for all of us that have cable, or are on the south shore it seems like we may be able to watch at the normal time. The only downside, for me anyway, is that I don't get the RI station in HD, oh well, it's better than not getting it at all.

I'm so glad our baseball team sucks. :)

But then again we also have the Baltimore stations as an alterantive. :)

That was beyond pitifull...... I was at the game on Sunday, and to go from that win to yesterdays loss was painful..very painful.

Why can't they show LOST at 10:00 and put off Invasion until after the local news (sorry Invasion fans, but who cares about Invasion).

Ok.. I just checked the guide on my Tivo & on channel 5 (WCVB), the sox game is on from 7-10. On channel 6 (WLNE), it's the regularly scheduled programming. Also, they're still showing the sox game on ESPN from 7-10. So are they now showing Lost on channel 6 or did they not put the new info yet for that channel? And as much as i love the Red Sox.... it's only Game 2. I'd much rather see a new episode of Lost.

Third big benefit to living in NH and commuting to Boston (first being affordable housing, second being it's not MA), being in the Manchester DMA and not the Boston one, and thus not being subject to blackouts and other sports related tv issues. I'm as big a Sox fan as there is, but it'll be pretty easy to watch Lost and the Sox game at the same time, what with the wonders of Tivo and online gamecasts.

Not that us Red Sox fans aren't happy (well, maybe Watership Down is) but more that we're frustrated that they're airing the Sox game on both ESPN and ABC. It's redundant and unnecessary. Now the LOST fans in Boston (not NH, not RI, and not the White Sox fans in Chicago), JUST Boston don't get to watch our show at the regular time. We have to wait until 11:35 tonight, which is late for those of us that get up at 6 am to start watching an hour long show. It's very poor planning on wcvb tv's part. I wrote to them also and received the same generic message (although apologize was spelled correctly)...same response for my friends at work who wrote to them too. :mad:

I emailed them, again I am so Pissed!:mad: I just checked the WCVB sight and saw it would be on the news, then I also read it here. It must have been a last minute decision because it doesn't come up on my cable listings. They probably received too many threats! lol I want my LOST.

I am happy, but as was stated above, teh redundancy of showing the game on 4 separate channels (including both HD feeds) is stupid.
