the outsider nailed it. the others are without a doubt the people in that orientation video. guess the writers really did have some kind of plan from the get go.

The film said they were doing parapsychic studies so they would have known about Walt and his powers.

Maybe after years on the island he kinda became more savage? But to tell the truth I don't really think what he said in Exodus part 2 could be considered "blue collar" or "white collar".

I'm concerned about who the man in the suit was that was standing in that building and it was in black and white.

The incident is just a ruse. I don't think anything happened, they probably just ran out of money and have no way to get back home.

i watched the ep last nite and took notes.
but the second go aorund, when i actually WATCHED it, i watched the orientation film in slo mo, and the whole time was looking for familiar faces. Ethan, Danielle maybe, etc

those two are the only ones i recognized. i didnt see the twins around....

It's quite plausible that the original science team wigged out or that one of their experiments gave them the sickness. This seems to have been the case with Danielle's team as well. Dharma might go right ahead with the experiments, however. At some point, though, Dharma stopped sending replacements (although apparently not supplies).

The question is whether Dharma is still manipulating events on the island or whether they were a front for the more sinister goals of Hanso, who is now working via other means to exploit whatever super-duper aspects the island offers.

I dont know if the Seabillie captain is the same bearded guy in the orientation film. The guy in the film looked to be of possible Middle Eastern descent, IMHO....the Captain even all aged out didn't look like the same guy.....

i saw a guy in the class they walked through that i thought looked like ethan (not enough, though, to say so), but not sure about the guy strapped to a chair.

You can't tell by someone's accent whether they're educated or not. The deGroots were obviously early '70s hippie types so they wouldn't have been into high-falutin' diction in any case.

As for the glasses--maybe he got laser surgery before being stranded on the island. :)

the bearded man on the boat is M. C. Gainey http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0301370/ if you look at his TV credits, Lost is listed him as the "bearded man" I don't think he is the same person in the "Orientation film".

Gosh, it's a tough call. They both look like they could indeed be the pair on the boat, especially the woman. Can't wait to see how this unfolds.

I love this theory...it's so obvious too. I think that they are still researchers and overviewing the project, and that they are indeed the original researchers of the project, which is still in effect. Maybe they even dressed up differently to decieve the survivors at first to give them false hope.

The woman is spot on...the guy is a little different but that could easily be because of age. I like it.

Also, he'd need a new prescription after 25 years. If they're stuck on the island, there may not be an opthalmologiest and new lens/frame supply around. Also, as you get older, far vision improves and near-sighted people don't need glasses except for reading. The glasses are hardly the deal breaker for this theory. There are countless logical explanations for their absence on the seabilly.

Hey these guys are suppose to be scientist's maybe one of there early experiments was laser eye surgery

The glasses the scientist wore may have just been reading glasses. I need glasses to read but not for anything else.
