View Full Version : Very dissapointed.
Seamonkey 10-06-2005, 12:36 AM I was very dissapointed in this episode. I was under the impression from information that I have read(TV guide, here, etc.) that this episode was supposed to make all of the poeple happy who were dissatisfied with the lack of answers to "what's going on here?" I do not think that any of the mysteries were revealed and am quite upset and frustrated.
sickotriz 10-06-2005, 12:38 AM I'm sorry, but have you seen any episodes from last season?
This has to be a joke, right?
Please let this thread die...
timdorr 10-06-2005, 12:39 AM Did you think they were suddenly going to give everything away? Some of the important questions, such as what happens at the end of the countdown, are going to be driving forces for character interactions later on. So, giving away that information now would remove those conflicts and the storyline would suffer as a result.
Considering what we now know about Dharma, I think that's a *huge* chunk of info to chew on. If you think you're going to get it all in episode 3 of 23, you're sorely mistaken...
darkpiranha 10-06-2005, 12:40 AM errr.... if you weren't blown away by this episode, you might want to consider watching another show. If you were expecting to have everything explained, you'll be waiting a long long long time.
While there aren't any "answers", they showed us a LOT. They told us a lot. I never once thought we'd know what on earth was going on once we found out what was in the hatch. I just wanted to see what was in it and then try to figure it out after that.
That's exactly what they gave us tonight. Enough info to choke on for a few months.
This is awesome.
AiryFaerie 10-06-2005, 12:40 AM I think we got quite a few answers this episode. Do you just want them to reveal everything and then have the rest of the show the characters smoking doobs on the beach or something?
This episode was awesome, man.
If they give us all the answers right now, we won't have a show anymore!
I'm tired of hearing this complaint after every single episode.
LockeLove 10-06-2005, 12:43 AM Wow. I think it was great. Especially the interactions between Lock and Jack! Amazing!
I cant believe you didnt think we got any info. I suppose its your feelings and your allowed them, but I seriously suffered from informational overload. Too much at once.
Maybe you should rewatch the episode, you may be happier.

AMEN!
I just wish we could have more of LOST every week. It makes my week. I live for Wednesday nights now.
SwampFox 10-06-2005, 12:48 AM Are you serious?
Is this a joke?
That episode was a HUGE reveal! You expect them just to lay every single secret on your lap and making all future episodes irrelevant?
Appreciate it for its depth too. This epi was deep man! Watch it again and think about all the references to faith. GREAT WRITING.
I can't believe people are complaining. Spoiled children.
fugitivekate 10-06-2005, 03:05 AM Were you watching the same show as everyone else was?? Seriously, I can't believe that you were disappointed in this episode! It gave a lot of answers, I thought... Sure, it brought up more questions than it answered, but that's the way this show works, and that's why I LOVE it!

EXACTLY!!! :D I am going to have to watch that ep again just to catch everything! Man I love this show! :)
notlost, justexploring 10-09-2005, 11:18 PM Gee whiz, everyone kind of jumped on you for expressing a negative opinion. I understand the frusration some people feel. You just want to understand what is going on, but they only give you little bits and pieces. That's actually what I enjoy most about the show -- you can't figure it out. But maybe it's like marriage -- the very traits that draw you to your spouse, over time, can become the very things that make you crazy.

davec 10-10-2005, 01:15 AM C'mon that bizarre orientation film was worth the price of admission by itself.
MadWatch 10-10-2005, 02:38 AM :Boggle: Season 2, Episode 3 was a great episode. They revealed enough to confirm certain theories about the show, but didnt reveal enough to lose the mystery of the show. It was great!

There is no need for that kind of rudeness here.
Posters should be able to express their opinion of episodes - positive or otherwise, without being responded to like that.
Please be more polite when making responses in the future :)

Id like to get your opinion on X-Files actually, what do you think of that show?
EllsBells1960 10-10-2005, 07:56 AM I thought they gave us almost too much information (in terms of processing it all). We got plenty of answers, but a ton more questions- and probably missed a lot of info besides. I've seen all sorts of things on this board that I missed- and I added a thing or two that hadn't been mentioned.
