April Locke's VW looks to be an original. There is a shot when he is at the guard booth in DEM, you can see the inside of the door and there's a plywood panel stuck in? Looks like they were still restoring it.

I think Goodwin/staked guy was the big blonde guy when the raftaways first were captured. Which means that he was killed very recently.

As for the fish. I thought I saw 3 in the first shot when Jin was pulling them in and then 2 in the next shot. ?

I echo that there were four fish, but I too am not positive.

I'm too lazy to look now, who are the 8 you speak of Todell? I made a guess post that 23 - 8 (tailenders) = 15. I was guessing the # of tailenders alive was 8 only because it made an equation using the numbers. Nothing to support it.

re: pebblesbl post and numerology IT is all in the interpretation so I wanted to share this version with everyone. With several different types of numerology, I am familiar with the type referred to as Pythagorean. I had to look it up to verify what I learned in high school and see if it was indeed correct. Here are a few sites to look at yourself in regards to figuring out your numbers. I didn’t find the version where you reduce the numbers by a factorization. Like everything else about LOST --understanding is just around the corner.

Quoted from one website…. “Pythagorean numerology uses only the single digit numbers 1 through 9, plus the double numbers 11, 22, and sometimes 33, 44, etc., which are called "Master Numbers". Any other numbers are "reduced" to one of these by first adding up the individual digits. For example: 1996=1+9+9+6=25. Yes that was one of them, but there were more. Even other characters have done it, and I thought it was weird, almost forced. eg: they could have said 2 things and made the point just as well, but they threw the third one in?

I had around 10 missed numbers to add to the list, and my computer is acting weird. When I go away for a while, my mouse is frozen and I can't find a way out without rebooting it (don't know the lingo) resulting in losing what was on word pad that I haven't saved. AAAArrrrrGGGGGhhhh I cleaned up all my wordpads and put the good stuff onto one new one, and it's ALL gone. Of course I didn't copy it from other word pads, I cut it.

Jack's knowledge has nothing to do with with Shannon. His timeline is with Sarah and when he met Desmond. We were the ones informed by Shannon when the accident happened. Jack knows when he met Desmond, when Sarah was in the hospital. From Shannon we learn that it was 2 years ago. He was the one that Desmond told he had been on the island 3 years. Eventually, Jack will have it sink in that there is something wrong with Desmond's reconning.

Remember we used to bookmark threads. Now they have a subscribe to individual threads options. It's under thread tools. There are a lot of neat new things to discover.

You can key on the little white box to the far right bottom of a post that you'd like to reply to. You can read an entire thread and everytime you key on that white box, it copies it for you. When you get to the end and hit quote, all the posts you wanted to respond to are there for your convenience. It rocks.

I sadly missed the first half hour of The Hunting Party. Kids sick, VCR took a poo...blah blah. Anywho, I will be borrowing a copy to watch later. Will keep my eyes peeled.

This baggege ticket bothers me, it came from one of the Lost sites, correct? Not from an episode? It many be a clue but not from the show directly?

Don't know if this has been mentioned already but this whole thing with the numbers....doesn't it remind you of the film Cube (the first one, not the sequel which was pants)? Numbers and formulas were the key to getting out, but only the autistic character survived. There's no denying that one way or another, those cursed numbers were in their lives before the crash (Hurley's predicament being most obvious). Could it be that all of our survivors have been manipulated for quite some time? In that film, the one thing all the chatracters had in common was that their names were the names of famous prisons. What is the "others" aren't evil or wicked? What if they are people from previous experiments that were just too stupid to ever get off the island, prompting the mastermind behind it all to try again...and again...and again. I mean seriously, the flight to L.A was what? About 15 (ha ha 15!!!) hours? Almost halfway through the pilot decides to turn around coz he lost contact with the ground? What ground? They were halfway through the flight?!!? Why not just go for broke and go where you're supposed to be going in the first place?
Hurley winning the lotto could be coz the numbers are a trigger (like some freaked out Matrix-style code)and got flagged by the machine controlling the lotto picks, like how your library I.D gets flagged if you borrow certain books to do with bombs etc.
Anyway, those are just some of my "lost" ravings (been hooked on the show for far too long!) but I gotta say, I think in the end, the numbers will prove to be the key to solving this thing.

I'd forgotten about that! If I remember correctly, someone figured out that there are 3-4 hours completely unaccounted for. But who knows if Jack was the only one unconscious for that time? I don't hink the island blew up or anything happened, so, Kate must have gone and got someone to take over hatch duty. She could have gotten in the gun safe easily and probably knows where the other guns are too. She would have had to go to the beach or the caves for someone to take over in the hatch.

If she did that she would get a gun.

Twin Peaks comes pretty close. In fact, it was probably way ahead of its time.

Just noting that those 2 are the SUV in the Walmart parking lot (Locke's flashback, Deus Ex Machina), and the car in front of Nadia's house in Lockdown.

Well since the original numbers are increasing with each step, what would the next number be that resulted in a 4 (from the sequence above)?

If we limit it to just one step (eg, 57 : 5+7 = 12 : 1 + 2 = 3 would be two steps) then no two digit number would fit as the first digit is at least 4 so any sum would be more than 4. In this case, the next number would be 103 : 1 + 0 + 3 = 4.

If we don't limit the steps, then we could have; 49 : 4 + 9 = 13 : 1 + 3 = 4

But this is just silly.

My avatar is a logic circuit which takes a binary counter and returns the binary value of "cursed" number at that position in the sequence; 1 = 4, 2 = 8, 3 = 15 etc.

The counter goes from 1 to 6 (I wanted 0 to produce no output), However the circuit would produce a result if the counter reached 7 and it would be higher than 42 :eek2:

Side Note to Sam: This thought struck me in Reckoning but I'm sure it's already been adressed. According to the film, replacements were schedule for every 540 days which I find to be a very strange number, except that it's easily divisible by 108. It is in fact 5 times 108. Do you remember if anything was noted by this observation in your list. Ladyrune made this observation in the Hatch map discussion thread.
