Q.U.E.S.T.
QUesting for Every Single Theory

If you like hidden meanings and riddles this is a unique and creative way to discuss new and existing theories. Everyone is invited to participate and have fun peeling away the hidden layers of meaning in these riddles posted by our Cap’n Tiberius. Just for fun we have a pirate name generator (http://www.privateerdragons.org/caseys_shiphold3.html) so you can pick a new moniker for the ship. There's one for the gents and one for the ladies and you can also get a more "colorful" name if the mood strikes you. Let me know what you come up with and I'll post it next to your screen name. Here's a couple other ones, so we can mix it up a little: fidius.org (http://www.fidius.org/quiz/pirate/) and another one (http://gangstaname.com/pirate_name.php).

If you would like to join this “pirate” ship of motley questors, send me a PM or post here under the links section.

I'm sure the male members of the ship won't mind having a few temptresses to deal with.

My name is Cap'n Charlotte the Temptress and some horrible other names, so I think I will think on this one.

Does anyone have other links to cool pirate names?

cin,

Great work, as always! Thanks for ye permission to board the ship. I heard ye be lookin' fer a Ship Master, and I be the man for ya. Clamdigger McMang the Lilly Livered, reportin' to the Captain fer duty!

Firstly, there can n'er be enough Temptresses 'board the ship, but with a cargo hold filled tropical Mang Tang drinks, I'm sure that the theories will be highly speculative and always entertaining!

Now, I'll have a Tang or 2 myself with the officers and crew, but my cabin is reserved for Mrs. Mang, my bonnie, bonnie lass, and my son, l'il Mang, a worthy sea dog recruit and my every inspiration.

Only this pirate crew is one that would be entertained by prose. Regardless, Elizabeth The Temptress has demanded it, therefore we will make it so.

A new ship

A ship of new material had to be built
In order to have a large enough hold
To contain the gatherer’s guilt
Guilt of the questers so bold

Guilt from the voices in the mind
Prodding us to continue to seek
Knowing we have things to find
Putting off our work for the week

Riddles and rhymes from captain’s log
Batten down the hatches as you contemplate
Things from the past your mind will jog
Lift up the sails for the island doeth wait

Call on the Beatrix Bonney for her wit
Bring up Charlotte The Temptress for clarity
Torches and lanterns must be lit
For even through the night we travel the sea

Have the Bloody Bess Read (Todell) do the search
You know she’ll find all that pertains
Bloody Bess Read (Cin) keeps watch from her perch
Looking for what the island contains

Clamdigger McMang the Lilly Livered, Tortugan SailMaster extraordinaire
Will find us the answers with detailed pleas
And providing us with points of view that most are unaware
Is none other than Mermaid Myha the Nordic Scourge of the Seven Seas

We know all that sail with this vessel
Each has a task to complete
With all of the clues do each wrestle
Takes all to keep this ship tidy and neat

Though the observer at first sight
In his mind would think surely we jest
Yet we all know tis a good fight
And take seriously this quest

Hi Doms Fan! I'll try to answer your question as best I can, but this group is something
that has developed from the LOyal to the queST thread in General Theories.
The first pages of the Quest thread here contain links to riddles that we have theorized
on. This was the main purpose of this thread, a place for the Questers to backtrack to past riddles. We take each riddle and break them down into theories about Lost and the island. Many have double meanings to them that are challenging to dig into.

The riddles are posted by the mysterious Tiberius who leads us on the chases for the
answers. It's interesting fun, but the Loyal thread grows so rapidly, we needed a
place to put all the links so we can find the riddles we are looking for.

Mysteriously, some of these riddles from many months ago are now coming into play
in the show. Why or how is up for speculation. Could be coincidence..or not! LOL

Anyway, I hope I kinda answered your question at least. Every once in awhile we pop
in here just to chat with one another and research past riddles. Anybody is welcome
aboard this crazy "pirate ship", but beware..its addicting and mind-boggling at the
same time.

Also, just an FYI...Tiberius is not an insider privy to information. These are just creative
ways to present theories designed to work your mind and speculate on different paths
the show may take.

Beggin yer pardon cap'n, but a question for temptresses I have.

Will this party also be a christening for this here ship? Me thinks would be good time to do so as we have not lifted the sail and left port. A bottle of MangTang would be the best drink for christenin this ship.

Would also be the time to name the ship. It will have a name won't it? I have me reservations bout sailin on a nameless ship. I fear Posieden won't allow us to sail safely if'n he can't call the ship by her name.

For the pleasure of the crew

Party Time

A time to rest the eyes, fingers and weary brain
So gather yourselves on deck for a strong drink
Yer endless questin may have caused you strain
A break from the search you need or else you sink

Take the blindfold and grab hold of a tail
See if’n yer drunk enough to hang it on the TERRApin
Upside down wrap yer feet and hang from the sail
Bite into an apple and see if’n ye can keep yer teeth in

Rumor has it a game of twister may ensue
So stretch it out and limber up them bones and joints
But ye must keep the clothes on to cover you
Runnin naked at party time will get you no points

Dust off you shoes for breathtaking dance
The cap’n may break out the fiddle for a tune
Polka, waltz, foxtrot or maybe a Tango per chance
We’ll all move to the beat beneath the pale moon

A good time for all the gathered shall be the theme
Whilst we all take a break from the quest
Now drink up me harties, bear the teeth with a gleam
For the morrow we’re back at it with no time to rest

YO HO HO AND A BOTTLE OF RUM!

Yep LL...a darn good time to be had for all. And for the girls of the Quest, a bit of humor
to start it off: (from our excellent Quester, Kimber)

WHEN GIRLS DRINK TOO MUCH:

I HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA WHERE MY PURSE IS.
I BELIEVE THAT DANCING WITH MY ARMS OVERHEAD AND WIGGLING MY
BUTT WHILE YELLING "WOO-HOO!" IS TRULY THE SEXIEST DANCE MOVE AROUND.
I'VE SUDDENLY DECIDED I WANT TO KICK SOMEONE'S *** AND HONESTLY
BELIEVE I COULD DO IT TOO.
IN MY LAST TRIP TO PEE, I REALIZE I NOW LOOK MORE LIKE A
HOMELESS HOOKER THAN THE GODDESS I WAS JUST FOUR HOURS AGO.
I DROP MY 3:00 A.M. SUBMARINE SANDWICH ON THE FLOOR (WHICH I'M
EATING EVEN THOUGH I'M NOT THE LEAST BIT HUNGRY), PICK IT UP AND CARRY ON EATING IT.
I START CRYING AND TELLING EVERYONE I SEE THAT I LOVE THEM
SOOOOO MUCH.
I GET EXTREMELY EXCITED AND JUMP UP AND DOWN EVERY TIME A NEW
SONG PLAYS BECAUSE "OH MY GOD! I LOVE THIS SONG!"
I'VE FOUND A DEEPER/SPIRITUAL SIDE TO THE GEEK SITTING NEXT TO ME.
THE MAN I'M FLIRTING WITH USED TO BE MY 5TH GRADE TEACHER.
THE URGE TO TAKE OFF ARTICLES OF CLOTHING, STAND ON A TABLE AND
SING OR DANCE BECOMES STRANGELY OVERWHELMING.
MY EYES JUST DON'T SEEM TO WANT TO STAY OPEN ON THEIR OWN SO I
KEEP THEM HALF CLOSED AND THINK IT LOOKS EXOTICALLY SEXY.
I'VE SUDDENLY TAKEN UP SMOKING AND BECOME REALLY GOOD AT IT.
I YELL AT THE BARTENDER, WHO (I THINK) CHEATED ME BY GIVING ME
JUST LEMONADE, BUT THAT'S JUST BECAUSE I CAN NO LONGER TASTE THE GIN.
I THINK I'M IN BED, BUT MY PILLOW FEELS STRANGELY LIKE THE
KITCHEN FLOOR.
I START EVERY CONVERSATION WITH A BOOMING, "DON'T TAKE THIS THE
WRONG WAY BUT..."
I FAIL TO NOTICE THAT THE TOILET LID'S DOWN WHEN I SIT ON IT.
MY HUGS BEGIN TO RESEMBLE WRESTLING TAKE-DOWN MOVES.
I'M TIRED SO I JUST SIT ON THE FLOOR (WHEREVER I HAPPEN TO BE
STANDING) AND TAKE A QUICK NAP.
I BEGIN LEAVING THE BUTTONS OPEN ON MY BUTTON FLY PANTS TO CUT
DOWN ON THE TIME I'M IN THE BATHROOM AWAY FROM MY DRINK.
I TAKE MY SHOES OFF BECAUSE I BELIEVE IT'S THEIR FAULT THAT I'M
HAVING PROBLEMS WALKING STRAIGHT.

Argh, there be too many bilge rat duties for Clamdigger McMang today, that I've been distracted from making me secret recipe of Mang Tang for this crusty crew! Tally Ho!

Back in Tortuga, I traveled a great distance aboard my sea raker, through what seemed like a strange storm into strange lands. These new folk, in this new world were strangely garbed, straight buttoned shirts, long belted britches, horn rimmed spectacles, shiny black shoes and no hats or arms to speak. They took quite well to my orangy Mang Tang drink…c’ept they no be likin’ the Carribean rum added.

Using some strange machines that I’d n’er seen, they took a virgin concoction of me Mang Tangs, and turned it into a strange orange powder. They introduced me to some kind of alien being, garbed in a strange white, bulky suit with strange hoses and color patches, whose head appeared bulbous, a metallic visor as its eyes. The strange human-folk decided to send me concoction back to the homeland of the alien on an odd vessel of fire, which did fly straight up as an arrow off a vertical dock. Strange ships indeed, but there were stars to sail her by! They brandished my drink with a circular “c” and a “TM”, which I took them to rename this new drink after. Tang c TM. Strange.

Ah well, t’was prolly a dream. I mean who’d want me orange drink?

Well, here do be a concoction for this fine crew. Drink up me hearties!

And who started the fiddlin’ and dancin’ without the Clamdigger, the grand booty shaker and lass quaker?

It seems me Jolly Roger do indeed be hoisted!

Argh, it do seem a bit drafty on deck...there be a warm cabin below...anybody else cold? Ah well, can't blame a mate fer tryin'.

In case you don't see me, don't think that I've walked the plank, it do seem that the admiral has these navigation reports for me to write before I can fully join the party...some dreck about synergistic proactive mind capitalization for leveraging win-win negotiations, and analysis of variance on an experimental matrix.

I will check in form time to time to see whether the cauldrons or mugs be empty, or perhaps whether the lasses would honor me with a dance. What shall we sing?

Hazards of nude diving
It is men who risk the only hazards unique to nude diving. Feeding fish is not recommended by male divers. More than one has reported being bitten on the male appendage by some fish that perceived it as a meal. Men are advised to protect themselves if surrounded by fish large enough to bite.
