Hello Henry,

First off I want to say WOW. I had so not expected there was an actual person in the hatch; and I also didn't expect I'd like a new character so fast. I've had my favorite character ever since the beginning of lost *cough* avatar *cough*. I mean I've only seen three episodes thus far with your character -Desmond- in it, and I already can't imagine Lost without him. It's not just the interesting storyline the writers have come up up with but also, if not more, the marvellous way you portray this character. So thank you very much for that. You truly got me hooked to the show even more, though I thought before that that was not possible.

Anyways, back to on-topic, this is after all a forum where we can ask questions. My question has got to do with the well used word "brother" from your character. I know from various other actors and shows/movies they use words, mannerism's, they have themselves and intiwine that into the character. Is "brother" something written in script, or something you use much yourself? And/or are there other things we see/hear from Desmond that are actually yours?

And finally (sorry, curious...) wasn't it hard for you to join this close cast that already worked together for one full season? I know Desmond's a stranger, and in that way it might fit in, but outside of filming time wasn't it hard for you to join this group of people who already knew it each other well?

If you ever come around to answer my questions with your work and all, thank you very much. If not, it's all okay and I just wanna wish you good luck on Lost as well as other projects the future might hold for you.

All the best,

Zarina ~
