I've heard it all. Of corse this probally doesn't mean much sence it comes from the idiots at the ABC message boards (they're heartless(majority)). I think ive heard about every stupid excuse ever written. One said they didn't like her because of they way she talk!What an idiot. Thats like judging someone because of their skin color(tasteless). And then we have this other idiot comes and picks on her becuase she said "she took my baby!" well my God would you not be upset if somebody took your baby? I would!I for one think she should have took Danielle's head off with a big stick! And they complain becuase she got upset because the french nut took her baby! I mean what are these people, heartless? I mean poor Claire! If anything you should feel sorry for her! And then they complain because she was agervated because Aaron was fussy and they had to move to the caves! Well #1 if you never had a baby before then i guess you wouldn't know what to do!

Look at all the bad things thats happened to her:
#Shes pregnant
#Tomas leaves her after he talked her into keeping him
#(sounds like) she has parent issues
#She goes and sees a phyic that pretty much made her crash in the first place!
#She has to give birth on an island!(enough said!)
#Danielle captues her baby!

Well, look at this! I'd be grumpy too every once in a while if I had to deal with that! Claire's likable. So what if she gets a little upset? She has every right to be!!!!! I mean Claire is SO likable! Shes been a little upset latley. So what?Dont you get upset every once in a while. I mean if you wanna complain get a life. I've seen people just devote all their energy into trying to find things wrong with her(and everybody!). Hating her is like hating Hurley!

Yeah Claire is my favorite and im proud of it! But does she not have a reason to be upset. If I was in her shoes id have been upset for a LONG time LONG ago. I think Clarie's sweet. She has something that likeable about her. I mean am i not right? Everybody gets upset once in a while, but thats no reason to say "I hate that character!!!!" hates a big word. And Clarie has a lot to deal with. I really dont think shes that moody or winy. Im not wrong am I?I think she does have a reason to be moody the little bit she does. She was moody in the season finally, and sweet most of the time before. And you hold that against her? I know who kicked tiny Tims crutch out from under him now!

Well, Hurley is still my fav, but I don't see why people would hate Claire, honestly. As for the moodiness.....well, one gets moody when they're pregnant, right? I mean, you gotta factor that:
(1) It's tough enough with the hormones & stuff because of the pregnancy &
(2) Compound that with going through a plane crash & giving birth on an island.

I really like Claire. She and Charlie are my faves. I've noticed that both of them get bashed a lot at the ABC site. About the only thread I visit there anymore is the peanut butter ship.

I like Claire, too. She's one of my favorite characters. I can always sort of relate to the parents in shows cuz I have 3 kids. I know what it's like to be pregnant in CA summers, can't imagine a tropical island with no A/C! So, as a mom, I always think, what if that were me/my kid? Heck yeah I'd be waaaayyyy more whiney than Claire's ever been. I have actually thought that she's a trooper! Anyway, I try to avoid bashing sites or forums. You should just avoid that place.

yeah, I went their and people were moody a lot, and pretty soon i thought it was just me. But when i went to other message boards I realized it must not have been me because nobody I really saw at other message boards were really that bad. And it's really not just me because i've heard several people say that the people their are kinda jerks(a lot of them). I haven't been their in a while cause a lot of them are really grumps.

Thank you Liz. That is the main reason I don't read the abc boards anymore. There are too many Claire and Charlie haters over there. I just get angry when I go there so I don't bother anymore. I would be totally freaking out it I was Claire over everything that has happened to her. Personally I think she's taking it pretty well and being a pretty good mom in my opinion.

yes, I agree it was very sweet. People were so immature and inconsidete i left & I haven't been going to any thread but the skate thread and thats the only one ill go in. The people from the skate thread(on ABC) are from the fuslage, much nicer.

Claire is really a sweet girl. Im like her in a lot of ways, execpt she can manage her problems a little better than i can. But that little bit of clarie we got last night(and C/C) just made that epsoide my fav this season, and i think my 2nd -3rd favorite of them all.

I agree, Claire is not my favorite character, Locke is. But I don't hate Claire and people shouldn't bash her because she is a bit moody.... I would be moody if I crashed on a Island and was pregnant! Not only did she have to deal with all the stuff you mentioned but she was also gonna give up her baby, that could make her feel crappy too.... I think it came from her anger at herself. She was complaining about how Aaron was crying and he was wet and she run out of napkins and so earlier she was complaning about how hard it was and i think when danielle took aaron she felt guilty for complaining about him, because really claire loves him i imagne more than anything she has.

What's the point of hating Charlie and Claire? Sometimes Charlie can be a bit self-centered and he gets on my nerves, but otherwise, those two are adorable. I love the way he dotes on her, and her accent is awesome. She's one of my favorites.

Anyway, about Claire -

My mom didn't like Raised by Another because she screamed too much...

Yeah, the screaming was kind of annoying but at least it was realistic! I'd be screaming my head off too, if I had a dream like that or I got stabbed with a needle.

Anyhow, I'm proud to say that Claire is one of my favorite characters. I don't get why so many people don't like her and why there aren't that many fans. This Claire board is like...dead.

But I like Claire a lot.

Claire's a great character - sweet, pretty, GREAT accent, but unfortunately - she's kinda underused.

I wish her roles were a little bigger, but I understand - it's an ensemble cast, and they have to concentrate on different characters in each episode, but too often you only see her in the background of scenes.

Of all the survivors on the show, Claire seems to be the LEAST eccentric? She's the one with the smallest amount of 'strange stuff' in her backstory. She's a single mom who went to a psychic - and that's about it...

i know they should do something better with her character and she could really go places if they let her....but i think why i like claire so much is because she does have a very down to earth backstory and life shes not so weird as far as whats hasppend to her...and i love it..thats why her and charlie are made for each other they dont have weird backstories..they're very human!love it!

I agree entirely. I think Claire and Charlie have the most believable relationship on the show. I like Claire a lot.

How can you bash a character that we really don't know. As mentioned in the above posts Claire's character and past has not been explored thoroughly enough to form an opinion. As far as her "moodiness" or "whining" I havea 10 month old so I remember well the stress of being nine months pregnant and giving birth. Although my husband assures me I was not "that bad" I know I was moody and whined a little. With Claire being in plane crash, not feeling her baby move for a few days, the Lostilla roaming, wild boar crashing the area, being kidnapped but not remembering it, then giving birth in the jungle without a doctor and without the very important DRUGS and EPIDURAL, and last Rouseau stealing the baby I can certainly understand Claire whining and being moody. I would probably be a little unbalance if I were in ther shoes.
I think Claire has a sweet way about her, but at the same time an inner wisdom. I hope that her backstory and her current baby issues will be seen a bit. I know there is so much going on on this island that it will be difficult to work her story in, but maybe just glimpses of how she is adapting. Does anyone know if there will be another Claire cenetered backstory episode this season?

Claire's ok. Emilie is a beautiful and great actor too. I really think she's going to be a bigger more important character soon. Alot of people like her Liz, so don't worry. ;)

and i compleatly agree with you lonegunwoman, im 31 week and it isn't comfortable and im not as pregnant as claire was when they crashed, and truth be known i may be younger than claire,(although we dont know her age im guessing shes in her 20s on the show), i dont think my pregnancy has been as hard as claires she didn't have anybody..atleast i had somebody..even though its just a show i think people need to think that out more when they go to attack her.

Try being a Shannon fan...then you'll know what bashing feels like...

Believe what you want to believe. You dont have to come in here griping because I want to stick up for a character that i like & am sick of everyone complaining about. The purpouse was to get people to say that Claire isn't bad. Why are you amking such a drama out of it? Seriously, if thats all you came here for you need to get a life.When you do things like that you're not proving a point you're making a jerk and an idiot out of yourself. If you dont like what we're doing you think were making a big deal out of it dont post. everybody was being nice here..dont come along and make it something its not! Seriously get a life and find something real to find a problem with...like world hunger!
