Now that I have gotten your attention, I have a simple question for you all; the people that create the magic on the small screen.

I am an aspiring screenwriter, and I hope to one day have the opportunity to do what you all do. I am 17, and my question is this:

What steps should I take in becoming a screenwriter? I would love to follow in the footsteps of all you LOST writers, as well as others, like Joss Whedon, Tim Minear, Drew Goddard, David Fury (I grew up watching Buffy/Angel and loved the concept of TV Writing ever since) Javi, JJ Abrams, David Greenwalt, Damon Lindelof, Jennifer Johnson, Dini, and so on.

Does it make a difference in which undergraduate college I attend - or do the grad schools make more of a difference? Or, is it pure talent, that is, if you are born to be a writer, "no school can define you, just help you."

Basically, to all you LOST screenwriters, (and any others who are in the buisness or what not), what should I do to become a screenwriter, and any other advice is greatly appreciated.

I hold a TREMENDOUS respect for the people who write for these characters, so if anyone can help me out, please do :)
