Does anyone have the them from "In Search Of". The music from the filmstrip sounded an aweful lot like it to me, but I have not heard it in several years. It was the first thign I thought of when the film strip kicked in.

I used to love that show! Now that you mention it, my distant memory says it sounds alike. Sorry I tried to find it but couldn't

Hmm....."In Search Of" was a bit before my time, personally (you're showing your age, Islandgurl;) ) but to me, when I first heard it, I realised, that it was exactly the same as the music that plays over the end credits of LOST....not so much a theory or connection of any kind, perhaps more of an indication of which direction the themes of the show will go in in the future....

Incidentally, I've just done a bit of Googling, and Mitch Pileggi, who hosted "In Search Of", was also known for his longtime recurring role as F.B.I. Assistant Director Walter Skinner on "The X-Files".

Quoting from http://www.scifi.com/insearchof/cast/,

He also had a recurring role on Dallas and has made numerous appearances on such series as The A-Team, Alien Nation, (http://www.scifi.com/aliennation/) China Beach, ER and the short-lived X-Files spinoff The Lone Gunmen. He has appeared in the telefilms Absolute Strangers, Trapped and Knight Rider 2000, and he hosted the popular series of FOX specials entitled Magic's Biggest Secrets Finally Revealed.

Maybe there are connections to some of these shows...

It does sound like it. If Leonard Nimoy shows up I'm calling shennanigans!
