DL, nice to talk to you.
Two very quick things that I wanted to ask:
1) While it's been debunked unofficially over the ABC "go forum" message boards as an explanation of the Hatch and it's significance, I was wondering if you had used some of the Montauk Project conspiracy theory as inspiration for building some of the mythology. There's not likely a ton of parallel between the happenings on Crap Hole Island (*thanks Maggie) and in New York, but at the least, it's an interesting read.
2) I (and, at this point, a few others) fancy myself a writer. Nothing big, mostly just stupid little stories and the like. I have two right now that I'm plotting, and I'd like to know how you've used "keep 'em guessing" strategies and what some of those were. If you reply, I can go into more detail, but let's face it...writers' workshopping some random stranger on the internet is hardly priority one for you, and I dig that.
