I just joined from the ABC boards. I thought I would check this out. I'm totally confused. How can I add an avatar? I went to User CP and it won't let me deselect the "don't use and avatar". Also, where can I get a picture for an avatar? Any suggestions? I can tell from the general descriptions what boards are strictly for the plot and what ones are for the social people, so I think I can navigate my way through here. At least I hope. This site seems to be way more advanced than the ABC one.

Another thing I noticed is that you have to include *spoiler* in the topic of a thread up to 3 days after the latest episode. Is there anyway not to get confused? I'm afraid I'll read a message marked *spoiler* thinking it is about an episode already aired and it might be for next week. Anyway to distinguish?

PS, Are there any suggestions to get away from the boards to do some work. I'm becoming a major addict.

Welcome to the fuselage:jump: We get a lot of people here that just give up on the ABC boards.
You need to be registered for 5 days and make 10 posts before you can get an avatar.I have seen people get an avatar sooner, but it may just be a glitch . It sounds like you will have to wait.

The fuselage is not set up for the kind of chit chat threads you find at the ABC site, where people post "Hey let's talk threads". Before you start threads you need to read the FAQ , it will tell you the rules of the site.
The 3 day spoiler rule only applies to the Linear Board, on the Threaded Board you can post without spoiler tags as soon as an episode airs.:)

There is no cure for the Lost addiction sickness:wink3:

I agree about the ABC board - I don't know how anyone finds anything there. This board has very specifically defined forums that make it SO much easier to find the one particular topic you want to comment on.

As for your P.S., errrr we had a Fuse-A-Holics group which was a complete bust because no one wanted to be cured! :tongue1:

Hello Everyone...I just joined earlier today and i have posted but I have a question..... How do you get group memberships? Also What was I doing before Lost? welcome to the fuse, Milhouse... as far as group memberships, all you have to do is post in the thread requesting to join, and the leader will get back to you on assigning your member number, etc...
