Theit twisted screwed up friendship intrigues me alot. Im sure sawyer considers michael a friend, despite michael always treating him like crap. i mean he trie dto saved his son, he saved michaels life, and michael treats him really harsly. tonight michael said that he doesnt consider sawyer a friend. i really think michael is being a ******* and not thinking right. i mean he needs to blame someone for things that go wrong obviously, but hes done that before, hes been mean to locke even after locke saved him and walt, and hes mean to sawyer despite the fact that sawyer genuinly cares about him even after being treated like shit.

one thing i have hope for though, is, that once sawyers wound becomes life threatening,

michael might actually be nicer to him.

based on the preview, once saywer faints michael is cradling him in his lap, and trying to revive him, maybe he'll realize what a ******* he was to him and feel bad about it. i hope so at least,

i can say for me, that if he doesnt start to feel bad about treating sawyer so bad, im going to give up hope on liking michael.

Michael and Sawyer have a lot in common, and if Sawyer was able, he'd of gone after Michael too. I'm looking forward to the episode where they mount a rescue to get walt back. That should be cool.

I think Michael has issues when it comes to tragedy in his life--especially Walt-related incidents. But, if you analyze the character, it can make perfect sense. When Susan took Walt away from him, the tables were turned and the finger was pointed at Michael. She tried to make him out to be a bad parent. Michael was no such thing. He loved his son. You could tell.
With the whole Locke thing, that was fueled by jealousy. He finally has his son back after 10 years, and Walt would rather spend time with Locke. That would break a father's heart. As far as Walt being taken, I think Michael secretly blames himself. Kate told him it wasn't safe to take Walt on the raft. Of course, she told him that for her own personal gain, but he flew off the handle when she said so. "I decide what's best for my boy." Now he knows that being on the raft was not good for Walt. I think he wants to blame someone so badly and Sawyer is an easy target.

When you get down to it, Sawyer is a good guy. I think that most everyone on the island takes his actions the wrong way.

Sorry to disappoint you there, Princee, but unfortunately that is NOT Michael cradling Sawyer in his lap but EKO. Eko's shirt has a color similar to the one Michael is wearing, but it is lighter and it is the one we see in that "cradling" scene. You can tell quite easily when you look at the scene with Eko and Ana right afterwards and compare the shirt color. At first, I thought it was Michael, too, but I realized later on that it was Eko instead. You can also tell by the voice.

I wish you were true, though, as I agree with you and I really think it is about time Michael realizes that he and Sawyer HAVE become friends - and that he owes the man BIG TIME. ;)

it was michaels voice saying "no no sawyer...come on sawyer" ill have to go bk and check, maybe ur right about eko craddling him, but ekos shirt isnt red, michaels is. ekos shirt is old blueish sort of.

I think deep down Sawyer is a good guy, he just has a hard time verbalizing it. I am also hoping that this whole "adventure" will make Michael realize, that Sawyer is trying to be his friend.

Of course, I also have a soft spot for "bad boys" trying to do the right thing...

I just want Sawyer and Michael to stop being so stubborn, and admit that they're friends! I keep thinking "Okay, we get it. You're both tough guys." But c'mon! Even tough guys have friends!
