View Full Version : That wasn't Sun's wedding ring
ELTaino74 10-20-2005, 08:01 AM Did you noticed that when she was putting "her" ring back on, it didn't pass her knuckle? She then played it out by covering her other hand around it. Set prop guys must have gotten the wrong size or that ring belongs to someone else

She's not cry of joy, she's crying cause its not her ring :-)
bluorchid2 10-20-2005, 08:06 AM I don't think so. She looked totally at peace after finding it.
conspiricytheory 10-20-2005, 08:21 AM I think its her ring... She wouldn't have been so happy if it was someone elses... She would have just said that it wasn't hers. Shes one of the most honest up front people on the island.
I wanna know...how on earth did it come off without her noticing if it was so hard to get back on?? Bad props? Or maybe it's Sun's slightly larger clone! Dum dum dummmmm!
lol
Or maybe some sort of shrinking agent in the sand...

So u noticed it aswell huh????
SMoK9977 10-20-2005, 10:51 AM I thought you were going to say it wasn't her ring because it had a stone on it. I thought that she was wearing a band, the ring she found looked more like an engagement ring.
For it not fitting, maybe the dirt made it harder to get on... like the opposite of using soap to get a ring off. Her hands were dirty from digging. Just a thought anyhow.
iliketowatchtv 10-20-2005, 10:54 AM It was VERY obvious that the ring didn't fit her. Prop screw up, I think. Big one.
Honbun26 10-20-2005, 10:55 AM I did notice that she was having a problem with the ring. I put it off to perhaps a little swelling do the heat and scratchy sand on her hands and the ring.
SMoK9977 10-20-2005, 11:01 AM I'm sure we've all taken a ring off then had a hard time putting it back on at a later time. Everybody's hand do swell throughout the day.
I'm more curious to see if anybody else remebers her wearing a band vs. engagement ring?
Discotish 10-20-2005, 11:03 AM It was her ring. It was very obviously an expensive Bridal set. As for it not fitting, if any of the other posters are female, I'm sure they can back me up on this one.
Women can puff up like the Stay-Puff marshmallow man at the drop of a hat. I'm at work and had to take off my wedding ring since I was so poffy this morning. By afternoon, I will be back to normal. Plus, any of you ever tried putting on a ring with sandy hands? Not fun and not easy to do.
And I don't think it was her covering the fact the ring didn't fit. She clasped her hands in a gesture of emotion, thankful that she found the ring, especially in light of the fact that her hubby may be dead.
This is just my womanly take on the whole scene...
bluorchid2 10-20-2005, 11:03 AM Actually yes, I thought she was wearing a band last week. But I haven't checked the episode to be sure.

I remember in the FB from Season 1 when Jin gave sun a ring, it was an engagement ring... BUT, I'm pretty sure she's been wearing a band on the island. Can anybody provide screen caps to help clear this up??
Speck 10-20-2005, 11:15 AM This could help fuel the old belief that Sun is pregnant.......starting to swell

Oooh, I hadn't even thought about that. It's so true, when I was pregnant, I had to wear my ring on my necklace after the first month due to swelling.
I guess one would ask though, could she have swelled that much in such a short period of time? If she lost it burrying the bottle, wasn't that supposed to have been the night before?
Clucky_You99 10-20-2005, 11:29 AM When I first got engaged it was early Christmas morning, and I had just woken up-ring wouldn't fit. when I started moving around, my ring went right on. I agree with the swelling, because it was night time when she burried the bottle and probably a little cooler temp. She found the ring during the day. Anything from not drinking enough water to the heat to the stress she was putting herself under could make her fingers puffy. Also dry skin on my knuckle makes in impossible for my ring to go on and off.
Noubourne 10-20-2005, 11:32 AM And there was sand on the ring and on her finger. You try putting on a dirty ring.
It was clearly her ring. Did you think that was fake sentimentalism? Please.
dante 10-21-2005, 08:11 AM If it doesn't fit, you must acquit :-)
