I will admit that Jin and Sun weren't my favorite characters in the first season, but over time, the writers turned things around. I like how Sun came to recognize the depth of her love for Jin over time, and how this experience is making her value him. And I really like how Michael and Jin have become such close comrades. I wasn't overly pleased with the lack of many subplots in the episode, but unlike "Adrift", I thought that the characters in focus actually progressed.

Here's my review for Lost 2.5: "...and Found":

Overall, this episode doesn’t advance the overall story arc much, but it does represent an important stage in the character development for Jin and Sun. Much of the information in the episode is simply confirmation of what has been suggested in the past, which adds to the impression of a slow start to the season. This is not the most exciting episode, but it also avoids the retread problem that could have dragged it down.
