This is my first time posting, but I have looked a lot so hopefully I haven't missed something about this-I got the season 1 dvd's and looked at the bonus flashbacks that were not aired on tv. In one of those Claire is talking to the pilot who got ate by the island monster. She explains about her psychic and he tells her about his mother who was dating a man named Bernard when he was a boy, she left him because of something a tarot reader said, and like a month later he sold his computer business for millions of dollars. Just wondering if this could be Rose's Bernard, and if it even was, would it matter, since the flashback didn't air anyway. Just Curious???

Could be...everything is connected on this show...maybe they will use that flashback now that we know who Bernard is...

There is a definite possibility that there is a connection there- everything seems to be interconnected on the island.

Well, since the pilot never MET this Bernard and doesn't know what he looks like (even if his mom showed him a picture from 35 years ago), the point is moot. Even if the pilot were to be resurrected, which on LOST is not impossible.

Unless Bernard someday reminisces about an old girlfriend who dumped him because of a stupid tarot card reader. . .

Bernard does look a lot older than Claire though...
