ok, so he has 4 minutes once the warning blares, not 5

and he also knew exactly what the button was for and didn't have to (and didn't want to) push it and that the only time he would ever have to be in a situation to push the button is when the sensors thought the US was launching nuclear missiles at Russia and that he was there with a large crew of people to help monitor the computers and....

yeah it's a stretch

but still a good read and thank GOD he didn't press the button
