Ok, the show appears to be setting them up to hook up. So, what is everybody's feelings on this? Pissed because she is married? Glad because she would get away from Jin? Good thing or bad thing for Michael?

it depends........If Jin can't change or he dies.....it's a good setup...if jin can change it's bad......either way it's interesting conflict.

Sun would make an excellent stable mother for Walt.....but we're still not quite sure what Sun's feelings are towards Michael. We know he's hawt for her, but is she hawt for him?

I'm personally hoping that Jin and Sun can reconcile and that he can find himself again because they seemed really meant for each other in the flashbacks..............but if he's too far gone...Sun deserves much better.

Perhaps he's so far gone that the only way he can get his innocence back is to give the island something large, like his life.

I personally believe she and Jin are in love and just lost their way a bit. *I think this will bring them closer together and I hope Michael doesn't get involved. *Now if something should happen to Jin (which I hope not), then, yes, Michael could comfort Sun. *But I really want to see Jin mend his ways and remember how happy they were before he started working for her father...

I personally don't think Michael has the hots for Sun at all, actually. I think the few exchanges we've seen in the last couple of eps suggest that he's on the same page as her. I mean she obviously told him a little about herself and Jin when she was trying to get him to understand why Jin attacked him. I think that this means, he understands there could be tension between him and Jin if they continue to live in such close quarters, and that perhaps living on the beach while Sun and Jin live in the caves would be best for that particular relationship. I think the looks he has exchanged with Sun have just been his way of trying to communicate with her without giving away her secret knowledge of English to the others in the camp. Like when Walt asked if they could live at the caves, I think he was just trying to ask Sun "Do you think that would be OK or do you think that could cause a problem?" without asking her outright.

just everytime he tries to talk to her he seems smitten....and he left walt with her and no one else...i think it wsa a typical guy excuse to be near her, not thinking about Walt at all...well some.

but he had no way of knowing, he didn't know she spoke english...........it was very much a "wanna be close....kid's a good excuse" moment :-)

Michael may be re-living his relationship with Walt's mother through Jin and Sun. I believe that's why he said "Don't, man. Don't," to Jin after Jin caught them together. I think he might have been trying to tell Jin to cool it or else he'd lose Sun the way he (Michael) lost Walt's mother and, as a result, Walt. Just a theory. I can't wait to see what the real story is!

The "Don't" words Michael used were intended to make Jin fear him because Michael knows Jin speaks a little English and Michael was warning Jin to not start a fight.

I've always interpreted the looks between Sun and Michael as attraction. I agree he asked her to watch Walt for just that reason. It was a legitimate excuse for talking to her. Otherwise, there ARE other people he could have asked. Claire, for one. Hurley seems a decent guy, and responsible. Heck, even Joann! :D It's not like Walt is 2 and needs a lot of supervision.

However, I don't think anything will come of this attraction. It might cause tension because Jin obviously senses it and has since before the watch incident (which I think just gave him an excuse to beat the guy who was checking out his wife). Basic attraction is almost primal, in that it cares nothing for the dictates of propriety. I'm sure all of us have been attracted to someone inappropriate for us at one time or another. Proximity and heightened emotion/stress can enhance that attraction, but it doesn't mean they have to act on it.

It can also serve a purpose in giving a person a new perspective on an existing relationship.

Interesting theories on whether Michael likes Sun more than Sun likes him or vice versa. Because elsewhere (TWOP) I have read somebody remarking that they got the impression that Michael was drooling over Sun and she wasn't really all that romantically interested.

(personally, for me, I'm not sure what it is, I do get the impression though that it is mutual, at least to some extent)

I'm sorry but how do we know that Michael would be any better for Sun than Jin? We still know very little about Michael and he may not be a very good person in relationships.

I think people are reading waaaaay too much into the Michael/Sun exchanges. I think what people are seeing as attraction is actually them not feeling comfortable with each other because they share a pretty major secret about her knowing English.
