I apologize if there is a list or thread containing relevant books/media, but does anyone think The Police's "Ghost In the Machine" has any influential relevance to the show? The title sounds like a description of the island monster, and the lyrics are a cool read. Mentions of jungle, moths, a holy man and even a song in french (besides the dark/light/journey overall theme).
