Does anyone know what they were saying? Was it the same words for Shannon and Sayid as for the tailaways? And was it just one voice? I didn't hear the woman that we heard last season.

Not talking about what Walt said. We're talking about the general whispers that first Michael and the Tailaways heard, then Shannon and Sayid heard.

Yeah I'm asking about "the whispers" as in the whispers Danielle said to watch out for.

Man, I could have sword I hear "namaste" two times in the different whisperings tonight.

I dont know, I tried to listen closer but all I got was maybe "The eye" I kept on looking for Shannon to get shot right in the eye instead of the gut wound she received.

You know what I don't get. If the Others were close enough to the Losties for Sawyer and Sayid to hear them whispering, why weren't any of them attacked? They've been walking around in the jungle for 45 days oblivious even to the existence of the Others, totally vulnerable, and yet no attack? And how the heck has Danielle survived with these savages for 16 years?!

I dunno. Good question. mabye they never go near where she travels.

I can't wait to see all the whispers transcribed for tonights episode....

Maybe she's not really dead. You know how TV is. Heck Sawyer is still alive and he's out of it. Who's been pressing execute? Wish they'd show who's 'stuck' in the hatch watching the computer. It's nice that we'll finally learn what happened to the people in the back of the plane. I can't wait for that 'bitty' to get with the front half of the plane. You know Kate won't put up with her bossing people around...maybe there will be a 'cat fight' between them. I love this show!!!

Danielle has booby trapped her area pretty well. And she doesn't mess around with strangers in her territory.

Are the "whisper" others definitely connected with the "savage" others? I'm not too sure. When Ana told them all to "run!" was it because she'd heard those voices before, or because she hadn't?

Danielle told Sayid that it was the Whisper Others who abducted Alex. The Boat Others abducted Walt and the Savage Others appear to have abducted children from the Tail Section.

And yet, we've heard the whispers twice when VisionWalt has made appearances, and once when Sawyer was out boar hunting, and once when Sayid was leaving Danielle's bunker... all these times nothing bad happened to the person(s) hearing them.

Didn't Hurley hear the whispers also sometime last season? I think tonight is the first time that mass amounts of people have heard them all at once too...

I don't remember Hurley ever hearing them, but I could have missed it. To my count, before last night, only Sayid, Sawyer, Shannon, and the French Lady had ever heard them, and none of them have mentioned it to one another before. They were all alone every time they heard it.
