Pretty sure this hasn't been posted yet..... but does anyone think there might be significance to Ana-Lucia's account of what happened to the TailEnders so far..... specifically I am referring to her saying that the first night the others took 3, then two weeks later, came back and took 9 more.....

Just wondering if perhaps the TailEnders have their OWN set of numbers?????????

Since numbers have been so important in the past, I don't think its wrong to posit such a theory. Hopefully, we'll get more info on the Tailers next week.

What happened to the other 6 tailenders? Actually 5 since Jin found the dead body of one of them in the jungle- assuming the others killed him. What about the other 5?

I was actually suggesting that the TailEnders may have a DIFFERENT set of numbers, that some how include 3 and 9........ let me know if this is a plausible idea.....

well.... since the lostaways from the beach (orig. peeps) they had Hurley's numbers which showed up on the hatch they blew open. Maybe the tail people had some significant number stuff too, which might be on stuff in the hatch they were in, we just have not seen it yet. So your theory might be legit, but I assume we won't be able to confirm or deny this idea for a while...

Nothing wrong about your idea of new numbers. I've been trying to figure out what they could mean as well. But so far nothing. If I figure anything out I'll post my 2 cents worth.

on one site it says dr.marvin candle will be appearing on the show in 2 weeks.....im wondering if maybe the tailies have the film from their hatch but havent watched it yet....then when they catch up to the lostaways and watch the film there might be something about other numbers.

I think there absolutely could be another set of numbers. 6 stations - 6 sets of numbers? I don't think we have seen enough yet to speculate what they could be though.

Here is a strech: 3 the number of people taken in the first attack, plus 2 the number weeks between the attack, and 9 the number of people taken in the number of people taken in the second wave equals 14. Or maybe I have have LOST my mind. Sorry for the bad pun.

Now that idea has my brain working.... if there are 6 sets of 6 numbers each, it would make sense that they would be closely connected... i.e.: one digit off from each other..... I guess as always.... time will have to tell!!!!1

Basically, the "22" is up there because we arent 100% sure that Eko is a plane crash survivor. I assume that he is for now, which is 23 survivors, but we dont know for sure yet.

the 3 is the first number of people that were taken. The 9 is the second number of people that were taken. The 14 is the number of days in between the first group of people and the second group of people taken by the others.

If the number pattern follows the same pattern of -1, +1, -1, +1, then the numbers for the tailenders could be

3 9 14 17 22 43

Which adds up to 108.

of course, this is all speculation.

I also think we're seeing the beginning thread of another set of numbers from one of the other hatches.

To all those looking for new sets of numbers, I think it's important to note that Ana, a Tailie, was sitting in row 42, which is one of the original six numbers.

IMO these numbers are too similiar to the other ones to just be a coinicidence, maybe we'll learn how the rest of the numbers in the series relate to them on Wed. (hopefully anyways)

I think the problem with this theory is that you're limiting the numbers to just one hatch and one set of people. Don't forget that Rousseau had the numbers as well.

I was showing my classes last season's Kate flashback shows this week, so they could catch up on what we know about her past for tonight's epy. Someone pointed out that when she and Tom made the tape for the Time Capsule, it was 1989--16 years ago.

Kids. Ya gotta love 'em. One of them asked me the other day if I didn't get bored of reading the same book 5 times a day with them. I told him that I would if they didn't come up with such interesting opinions and interpretations of the books. That's what keeps it fresh. Same with that 1989 thing.

SIX has appeared in every season 2 episode-6 knocks in tailies "secret knock" to enter the arrow hatch/station. ana was shot by 4 bullets through her vest (old number) but pumped her perp with SIX shots Walt contacts Michael when counter is at 51:00
