View Full Version : LOST snubbed for People's Choice.
lostfan4ever 11-11-2005, 02:18 AM I guess this is more of a non LOST sighting. I just read the people's choice award nominations and LOST is not nominated at all. We as the voters don't even get the option to vote for LOST! Who decides which shows we get to choose from anyway! I'm definitely boycotting the PCA this year.
I guess what does make this a LOST sighting is that Dom was one of the celebrities announcing the nominees. I wonder what he thought of the nominations?
sawyerkissme 11-11-2005, 07:06 AM It wouldn't be worth watching unless they were nom'd anyway, so I'm all for snubbing them back.
The_Sheppardess 11-11-2005, 10:29 AM It seems pretty stupid on their part not to nominate one of the most buzz-worthy shows of the past two years.
Their loss. I'm all for boycotting it.
lambchops972 11-11-2005, 12:29 PM I watch every year but I'm not bothering now. I'll watch my lost dvd instead.
MerrierOne 11-11-2005, 01:05 PM Wow, great minds must think alike. I just posted this elsewhere, and used the exact wording you had used ... "snubbed"! Ha, I guess it's a universal reaction, especially considering they nominated Desperate Housewives over Lost in the drama category.

Not making the cut in any category: Anything or anyone on the WB; ABC's breakout hits Lost and Grey's Anatomy...
venicebeachbrat 11-11-2005, 01:17 PM I heard this on the radio this morning. I really can't believe that LOST itself was not mentioned or any of the actors!
We should send nasty letters and throw rocks at them!
addicted2much 11-11-2005, 01:49 PM At one time, I think the nomination and voting was done by a phone poll. They call you and ask your fave shows and such. No one called me
fancyface 11-11-2005, 04:12 PM The "Peoples" Choice Awards. Hummmm Well, I'm a housewife and would not miss an ep of LOST. However, I could miss an ep of Deperate Housewives and still know what happens by watching next weeks ep. A good show and makes me laugh but there is no mystery there. LOST should be in a catagory all of it's own. I agree, I wouldn't watch this year either. Take that PCA
Carencey 11-11-2005, 10:51 PM Who decides what gets submitted in drama vs. comedy? The organizers or the show's producers or the network?
Is this the PCA's idea, or has Desperate Housewives decided to go head to head with Lost this year at the Golden Globes as well? Should be interesting...in the articles I've read, DH has been getting kicked around by critics this year. However, I guess I'm most surprised by inclusion of Law and Order SVU. If DH was listed as a drama, I would have expected the three to be DH, CSI, and Lost.
~Lirpa~ 11-11-2005, 10:59 PM This is just bizarre. When I mentioned to my hubby that LOST was not nominated, even he was taken by surprise.
Caren, why are you surprised that L & O made the cut?

'Cause I thought PCAs were supposed to be essentially for the most-watched and most-talked about shows. Even adjusting for nights that are just better TV nights than others, it seems that if you're only picking three, it would make sense to include DH and CSI, but there could and probably should be a couple shows ahead of LO:SVU, Lost being one of them. It's much harder to make a case for not including DH and CSI (unless of course, you rate DH as a comedy). Not saying SVU is a bad show, but I really don't buy it as being more of a fan favorite than a lot of other shows on TV. I would be less surprised if this were the Emmies or GGs and SVU was included.
~Lirpa~ 11-11-2005, 11:27 PM I would certainly classify DH as more of a comedy.
Aurora10 11-12-2005, 12:04 AM Same here. When I heard it was nominated for Drama, I was like, "WHAT?!?!?!" I'm not gonna watch these bloody awards, either. I'm so mad.
