View Full Version : My take on the epi
diabolo237 01-05-2005, 10:19 PM Ok did anyone notice that when Kate was talking to the bank manager, in one shot his nameplate looked like "MAP"?
I told you all Kate knew how to use a gun ;)
The marshal (who just doesnt have a name?) had trouble bringing a gun on the plane?
BTW I think he is the man she loved. I dont think he was a marshal at all now
Fountain Theatre - Mesilla Valley Film Society (Mesilla, NM) seems to be the oldest theater in a small town in NM, the reason Kate said she was writing her coffeetable book. It is on one of the Confederate Army barrack areas from the civil war, built around 1848
All seems a little strange, I feel like we should have gotten more, but maybe because there was a three week wait, withdrawl set in
Hmm... I agree.
Anyone notice how, at one point, Kate hesitated before saying The Marshall? Like she was about to call him something else.
CharliesFate4 01-05-2005, 10:37 PM interesting...that was strange I did notice that.

I did't catch that I will have to rewatch it and look out for that.
bfavre444 01-05-2005, 10:47 PM Who was the one that established the Marshall had trouble bringing guns onto the plane? Was it Jack asking Kate that? I forgot. If so, then that's a huge confirmation that maybe he wasn't a Marshall. Good call by LATE.
diabolo237 01-05-2005, 10:50 PM Hey, I said it first! LOL but she said it to Jack that the airline had a hard time with him taking the gun on the plane. WHy? if he was a marshall?
TerryLost 01-05-2005, 11:01 PM Yes, I did notice the pause before Kate said "the marshall." What did it mean? (How old is Kate? Was the marshall old enough to be her father? I don't really think that he was. Just a random thought.)
Also, I think a U.S. AIR marshall has no trouble taking a weapon on a plane, but I think that regular law enforce can't carry a weapon on a plane and must check it. And are we sure that the plane was an American airline? If it were an Australian airline, I don't think they would let an American marshall carry a gun at all.
diabolo237 01-05-2005, 11:05 PM I dont know, is Oceanic a real Aussie airline? I dont think its american
Raven 01-05-2005, 11:06 PM Hmm... I agree.
Anyone notice how, at one point, Kate hesitated before saying The Marshall?* Like she was about to call him something else.
She said, "He..." hesitated, then said, "The Marshall". *So she wasn't going to say his name. Not sure why she hesitated except perhaps she thought "He" was too personal and didn't want it to seem that way. * Or perhaps mentioning him evoked painful memories of some kind. *I do think it was significant.
Robinhood56 01-05-2005, 11:08 PM Was he an Air marshall? If he was just a US marshall he might not be able to carry on a plane.
Since he was tracking her (or so it seems) he probably wasn't an air marshall. I don't think they track criminals in foreign countries.
subtlepanicmaven 01-06-2005, 12:21 AM yeah i agree that something more was definetly up with that so called Marshall...
i found the whole concept that he would have kept a key hidden in his wallet a little fishy...
there was something not on the level about that dude...
goloptious 01-06-2005, 12:29 AM I didn't notice the pause before she said The Marshall.....now I will definately have to rewatch it.....Thanks for pointing that out!

creme 01-11-2005, 09:50 PM I haven't thought he was a marshal for a long time.
More clues in this epi... why would a marshal have four 9 mms in a case plus one on his ankle? If they were evidence guns, they would have appropriate paperwork and be marked as evidence.
There would have been extradition papers for "Kate" in that case.
Please note: the correct spelling is "marshal."
"Marshall" is a man's name.

that can be explained. this marshall has been chasing her for a while now. she'll know what his real name is! So she may have almost referred to him by his name in front of the others. but she held back because if she revealed to the others that she knew the marshall.. then they would all know she was the criminal.
there is no chance the marshall is her 'love'.. what about when the marshall was telling jack about her. saying that she was dangerous and to be careful etc etc. why would he say that if they were in love?!

;D - Nice! Let's see how many people pay attention to that.
It could also be a woman's surname, though. :lol2:
WharffRat 01-17-2005, 01:21 PM not a great episode to come back from winter break with.
But, that was the broadcasts call, I would assume
not the writer..
It laid down a lot of ground work
I liked it
