View Full Version : Is Walt Holding a Gun???
shanzy288 11-11-2005, 03:28 PM Does anyone have a screen cap of when walt scares Shannon in the tent after Shannon and Sayid were doing the nasty? It kind of looks like Walt is holding a gun in hnis left hand. Is it possible that Walt picked up Sayid's gun after he put it down. If that is the case, then maybe this is an evil fake Walt that is being astralprojected to Shannon to lead her into the jungle to danger. Plus, if you listen closely, we know that AL didn't shoot Shannon because 1) there was only one bullet in the gun, but 2 gun shots (listen closely when Sayid is holding Shannon as she's dying). 2) Shannon's wound looks like she was stabbed with a huge spear.
waltisfuture 11-11-2005, 03:31 PM This is interesting. I thought they showed us the gun as comedy relief (is that a gun in you pocket joke?), but your idea is intriguing.
Noeland 11-11-2005, 03:34 PM I think we need some screen caps. For smoe reason, I seriously doubt Walt had a gun. There was only a single gun shot, I have watched it 3 times now, there is no second gunshot when Sayid is holding Shannon's head.
I am curious though what happened to the foilage Shannon stumbled out of, it disappears after he has her in his arms. He looks back up, where shannon just was, and it's all gone.

DOMinatrix 11-11-2005, 03:38 PM yea i'd have to see a screencap for that
but if that is the case... would that mean that Walt is "sick" and is going around killing the rest of them?

No, there is totally 2 gun shots. I heard both of them. There's the first one and then we she Shannon, then Sayid holds the dying Shannon and then there's another shot in the distance. Turn up your volume.
Noeland 11-11-2005, 03:46 PM Shanzy, I think you are mistaken, but I will watch it again tonight and if I hear a second gunshot I will be sure to re-post that I heard it after all. :)

Notice how the weather is kind of like a thunderstorm?
i_love_dmjgmfna 11-11-2005, 03:52 PM Well, shoot. I tried looking at lost-media.com for a picture, but they only have close ups of Walt, where you can't see his hand. But, I don't think Walt was holding a gun.
(4.8.15.16.23.42) 11-11-2005, 03:57 PM That would be an interesting development. I am trying to figure what this whole 2 gunshot deal is all about. I rewatched that scene a few times and to me it sounds like Sayid falling to his knees in the mud. I am not debunking that theory and actually would be excited it that were the case but I just don't hear it. Either way, something more than meets the eye is happening with this scene and I hope we won't have to wait too long before we get some answers! (Or hints at least.)

Look harder. I found this (http://apalacheefloors.com/images/waltgun.gif) picture, and Walt is clearly holding a gun. Interesting to note that the gun appears to be wet.
Walt looks kind of creepy holding a gun.

I agree. I think that pic was doctored, if you ask me. Something about it doesn't look right.

There are a bunch of these floating around the lage. They are an on-running joke and not meant to confuse you.
prittygurl03 11-11-2005, 05:43 PM That pic was great. Seriously.
Redemption_Isle 11-11-2005, 05:52 PM Just to show the power of suggestion, when I read that Walt had something in his hand, I actually remembered it that way and I thought, yeah, that could have been a gun. I am soooooooo gullible.
Aphasia_1 11-11-2005, 05:54 PM I watched a few times and I never heard the second gunshot...I thought it was thunder. I can't wait for two weeks.. But at least next week we get an extended episode!

Ok. listen here imfromthepast - every single picture that a poster called imfromthepast posts is 100% real.

Oh, I agree. I always post unaltered screen caps, but this one was sent to me by a friend of mine that runs the local pet store in town (he specialises in guins, nasty little buggers. What kind of psycho would want a pet guin is beyond me.). The probem is he's a shady character and I don't trust him 100%. (Who would trust a guy who would sell a guin to an unsuspecting kid?)
Anyway, I'm just saying to take this pic with a grain of salt, that's all. I know I didn't doctor it, but that doesn't mean my friend didn't.

OK OK, nice little joke.
But does anyone have a real screencap of Walt in the tent? It kinda looks like there's something in his left hand. Possibly Sayid's gun???? And YES, for the last time there are difinitely 2 gun shots. The second one is when Sayid is holding the bloody Shannon.

:rotflmao: :lol2::lol2::rotflmao:
I clicked on that thinking it will just be a shadow , but lo and behold a gun.
imfromthepast, I wonder if your friend has a screencap of
Danielle stabbing Shannon with a pirate sword :pirate:
Evil Paul 11-11-2005, 07:43 PM I just looked at it again, turned the brightness way up and no gun. I also listened with the sound way up at the end, and no second gun shot.
shanzy288 11-11-2005, 07:51 PM what I really wanted was a pic of Walk in the tent after the candle blows out. But all I could find was Walt dripping wet in the jungle.

However, his left hand is still down in the same position that it was in the tent. AND, it's also difficult to see what, if anything, is in his left hand.
AND THERE ARE DEFFINITELY 2 GUN SHOTS. Listen to the exact moment that Sayid grabs Shannon and falls to the floor.
Raven 11-11-2005, 07:58 PM okay... I can't contribute any answers or even opinions as to Walt in the tent. But I thought it might be interesting to tie this to an observation from another thread. There's a thread somewhere that talks about Walt in the Jungle. Just after Sayid and Shannon see Walt, and Shannon gets up to run after him, there is an interesting P.O.V (point of view) shot. You are looking over someone's shoulder AT Shannon and the assumption is that the person's shoulder you are looking over is Walt's. The poster had reasons to question this assumption.
Just as interesting to me was the screenshot they linked to. (Sorry I can't direct you to this thread or link... I'm trying to limit my time away from REAL work!) There is definitely something on the shoulder of this shadowy person. When I read the title to this thread I thought perhaps someone thought it was a gun (like a rifle muzzle sticking up). You're not talking about this scene but it could be interesting, in investigating the line of thought in this thread, to consider:
Is this shadowy person in the jungle P.O.V. shot Walt?
And if so, what is on his shoulder?
If I run across that other thread, I'll try to come back here and edit this post.
EDIT: search function works well. :)
the thread is here: http://www.thefuselage.com/Threaded/showthread.php?t=25506&highlight=shoulder
and the screencap is here:

What is that on his shoulder?
