View Full Version : Any idea what Locke was looking at?

When Claire approaches Locke (before offering to let him hold the baby) Locke is looking intently at something. She startles him, he quickly moves the object out of her view and stashes it in his pack. Any idea what it was?

That is interesting....I didn't even notice that! I'm going to have to watch it again and see what it was. Thanks for the info.....

It was green, like a piece of ripped paper.

I noticed that..I wondered if it was something that had writing on it. He looked like he was 'reading' it if that's possible.

I wonder if it was something he brought out of the hatch.

I dunno, it looks kinda solid...like (now, I doubt this is what it is) but it looks like something like a piece of a broken plate...you know??

It's definately a solid object. At first I thought maybe it was a broken piece of mirror or something, but he did seem to want to hide it from Claire. Has anyone seen a mirror at all on the island?

I thought it seemed kinda flat..., I don't think it was part of one of the statues, but maybe it could have been... can anyone get a screen capture of it? It might be a real minor thing, but with LOST noticable things tend to either be real important, or placed there to distract your eye from something else.

Well, I have no idea what it is and I didn't even notice it in the show, but here are some screen shots:

Maybe a piece of green paper?

Thanks for the screen shots links!

If anyone out there can make screen captures from a recording, I'd love to see a pict of Locke holding the thing up when he's looking up at it. I seem to remember it having funny rounded edges. (I'd double check but I've got to get back to my chores soon...)

I'm not seeing the green paper on those sites. Maybe they added piks and it changed it?

Green thing in Lockes hand. What is the big ball thing behind Claire?

I just checked and this is the same one you posted. What's going on? Is it just me?

This is going to sound silly but it 'looks' like those little green Pine scented trees that you hang on your car mirror! ;)

wrote this down the other night as something tourqoise-green paper...or maybe something more sturdy than paper, that locke immediately hides when he hears claire's voice...that screen-cap 375, shows it...but not to well...about to go watch, let u know if i see more...good thread...

I think Walt was saying that though the caps are the same link, she was seeing a pix of Jin and Libby and thinks that they replaced the pix with the one of Locke and Claire.

Walt? Am I right?

It was probably something to do with your brower's cache.

I don't know what a browser's cache is? I have a photo program on my computer, I've been playing around with, but I don't understand how you post what you make. Any suggestions?

What do you all see when you look at the cap? It seems triangular to me. I wish we could figure this one out.

maybe it's a piece of fabric...something locke took from the hatch??

Now there's a thought, and a very interesting one at that. He was sitting of Desmonds couch watching the film, and there was stuff all over the place, like papers, books etc.

Could there have been something inside the film canister?

or he was in deep thought , Zoned out , instead of staring off into space he's staring at a lime peel

When I first saw this, I thought this was a piece of the statue, partially because later he confronts, indirectly, charlie about drugs. You know this show loves to lay hints and locke always seems to have secrets and other people's secrets.

The cache is like a memory that stores what a page held at the time of vieweing something. Sometimes, when changes are made to a site the browser will retrieve what's in the cache instead of showing the new info. I think on a PC it's called "History" but on macs history and cache are two separate things and can be cleared out independant of each other.

The only way, Walt, to post something you've made is to have it uploaded to a website that allows outside linking (meaning that they let you view the images, as linked, outside of their site). Places like Geocities don't let you do that but there are places that do. 2 that are used by a lot of people here are: www.photobucket.com and www.imageshack.com They're both free to use. Then, once you've uploaded your stuff, you can post the links to them here.
