Thats an interesting thought yes. Remember Shannon saying to Boone though about the fact that him and Locke had been out all day from sunrise to sunset searching for Claire w/o a trail? It could also be that he is extremely tired, because tramping around the jungle would tend to do that = )

I'm telling you all..I think the Island is making the survivors turn on each other...I don't think that Locke is as bad as the teaser for next weeks shows. I think that Locke is a spiritual person who embraces what is given to him. I think Boone was going to do something bad and Locke had to stop him

I think that they figure out what the metal thing is and Boone is going off to tell the others, which would most likely cause a stir and everyone panicing so Locke is forced to put him down.

I agree Princess--he's going to end up a good guy in the long run (if ya like long, runny guys...heh) and I love that his name means "good" or "great help." (Ah, the irony...Boone a great HELP?) But I think he was definitely saying that to Sayid...hence Sayid's response of, "And what if I don't?" and the angry looks that ensued.
