The one Sayid gave Shannon, several times? Like he was trying to either look into her soul or picture her naked. Which ever it was.....it was HOT!

View Full Version : How About the Look? Monkey 01-06-2005, 12:09 AM The one Sayid gave Shannon, several times? Like he was trying to either look into her soul or picture her naked. Which ever it was.....it was HOT! goloptious 01-06-2005, 12:10 AM I thought he was just trying to figure her out....she opened up a little more to him. Maybe it confused him. Jessica Spirit4ever 01-06-2005, 12:16 AM I think Sayid at first had sympathy for Shannon because she is so young, vulnerable, and naive. And in such a situation as being stranded on an island lacking malls, phones, and proper laveratories...poor Shannon. But after thier interaction over the map and especially after she sings...I think Sayid will definately show attraction so I can only assume "The Look" is foreshadowing. flora 01-06-2005, 12:46 PM He was definitely checking her out! He looked so dreamy in that stare. I think maybe he just never looked at her that way before (having other concerns that are a little more important than sexual urges), and sitting that close to her all of a sudden he realized, hey, I'm sitting next to a really attractive girl! JAZZYJ 01-06-2005, 01:00 PM I don't know about Syiad but when the scene came on and she was topless sun bathing I had some sexual urges. All I was hoping for was a strong gust of wind to come and blow her towel away, then the scene would have been perfect. JazzyJ makemelaugh 01-06-2005, 04:26 PM What about the way she was looking at him on the beach? She turned over, barely covered herself, and looked at him like "I know you think I'm hot and want to (insert your own fantasy here)." SHE STARTED IT! kalispera 01-06-2005, 04:32 PM What about the way she was looking at him on the beach? She turned over, barely covered herself, and looked at him like "I know you think I'm hot and want to (insert your own fantasy here)." SHE STARTED IT! I hear ya'! I still like Shannon, but I defintely think she was workin' him. I got the impression that she'd seduced men before, and she was up to her old tricks! hello earth 01-06-2005, 04:35 PM What about the way she was looking at him on the beach? She turned over, barely covered herself, and looked at him like "I know you think I'm hot and want to (insert your own fantasy here)." SHE STARTED IT![ Yeah, but judging from her past actions (particularly Charlie and the fish) I think that she does things like that because it's the only way she knows how to deal with men. I don't think that it started as something directed at Sayid in particular. But there was definitely a connection there by the end of the episode. theG 01-06-2005, 04:39 PM Hmmm...I was more impressed by Sayid making her blush when she was working on the translations. At least, she appeared to be blushing. desertislandgirl 01-06-2005, 04:39 PM The one Sayid gave Shannon, several times? Like he was trying to either look into her soul or picture her naked. Which ever it was.....it was HOT! I also think he was trying to figure her out, and maybe seeing in a new light, suddenly. :) But really, Sayid doesn't have to try to look hot, does he?! Sherry 01-06-2005, 04:49 PM I also think he was realizing that she's more than a pretty face, and that all her strutting, flirting and conceited ways may just be for show and/or protection. He definitely finds her attractive and probably did from the get-go but now he also finds her interesting. I'm looking forward to seeing them together more often. welshmuse 01-06-2005, 05:19 PM I think he was working her, to a certain extent. Due to his past, he clearly knows how to manipulate people to get what he wants. I think his questions about her time in France, etc., were asked partly because if he made her more comfortable, she might do a better job translating. And also because he thinks she's hot. What's intereresting though is that both Sayid and Shannon seem very good at manipulation--should be a very fun pairing to watch in future eps. ;) Can't wait to see what happens. theG 01-06-2005, 05:25 PM I've said before that it might be hard for Shannon to manipulate Sayid due to his training. He's pretty good at convincing people to do things for him himself. Of course, they disagreed, but...I still think it was Sayid who manipulated Shannon (and not in a negative way. "Manipulate" sounds like such a negative word) into doing a better job translating. Pen 01-07-2005, 07:19 PM Okay, spoiler here!! HEEHEE!! In the spoiler, I know a lot of times they will show things in rapid succession, making them seem liek they are connected, when, in actuality, they are not. I know for sure that one thing was connected and it was THIS: Boone: Stay away from my sister. Sayid: *sort of angry 'what'll you do if I don't look* And what if I don't? So, for your theories about how Sayid and Shannon are becoming closer, YES YES YES!!! MWUAHAHA!!! I am a rabid fan of this pairing now. Heh heh. I think that Shannon's character is definitely developing and I like the way that it makes her seem like the way she acts is a mask to hide behind her insecurities. At least, that is the way that I see it. I think that when she does open up, she shows that she can be a genuinely caring person and that she is very intelligent and intuitive. I also think that her behavior right after the crash was a way of coping. I am a junior wannabe writer and I love to do it, so I have some Shayid (as I like to call it) fics in the making. I really like the way their personalitites coincide and the way that Sayid and Shannon bring out the best in each other. (Most of the time, excepting that time when they were frustrated.) SInce they are both manipualtors, I think that they can manipulate each other into an even mathc, both being someone who is not going to be ordered around by the other. :D SO KUDOS TO ALL THE SHAYID SHIPPERS!!!!!!! lost4lost 01-09-2005, 01:24 AM I don't think Shannon is as innocent as people may believe. Being not to far from Shannon's age myself I know that those 'types' girls know that they're beautiful and realize that guys drool over them. And to give them some credit, they are smart enough to use it to thier advantage--that's what I think Shannon is doing. (Don't get me wrong I do think that she is vulnerable because of thier situation, and I'm not completely attcking her :)) -Rachael theG 01-09-2005, 01:27 AM I'm pretty sure no one thinks Shannon is "innocent". We all know how she got Charlie to catch a fish for her. Lady Scaper 01-09-2005, 02:16 AM I agree with makeemlaugh, she most definitely started it. *giggle* tanpopopear 01-10-2005, 12:37 AM I also think he was trying to figure her out, and maybe seeing in a new light, suddenly. :) But really, Sayid doesn't have to try to look hot, does he?! Haha, amen! |
