View Full Version : Quoting Spoiler-Fonted Text

Good afternoon!

In one thread I quoted someone's post both to reply to their main point and, ironically, to thank them for spoiler fonting. I had a bad feeling this would happen, and sure enough....in my text window I could read the spoiler text. (A small one, fortunately.)

Is there a way to allow the option to remove spoiler-fonted text from posts you are quoting and replying to? The current software you are using may not allow that, but I think it would be a nice feature.

Thanks!

I think you just have to realize that quoting will allow you to see what is spolier fonted. If you copy the text you want to repond to, you can enter a quote box. It just won't say where the quote came from or have a link to the quote, but I find it works just as well.

Or if you are the next one to post, just don't quote. Just put in the response.

Hope this helps Rams.

I'm a geek through and through. It's in my very genes to look for a technological solution. :)

But that's WORK! EFFORT!

As always. :)

It doesn't show.

AH!

Do you mean that, when quoting a post containing Spoilerfont, you don't want to be able to see the text (text and codes) in your posting box?

Yeah I don't think there is a workaround for that.

The best solution would be either to paste the non-spoiler bits into a new quote box, or to just avert your eyes while typing!
