A couple of weeks ago, entertainment weekly had a very uninteresting piece about lost. The context was that it went a-z and for every letter it gave a specific detail about the show. S=sawyer's stash, you get the idea. It was all beginner's stuff except that when it talked about the hatch it made it clear that there were six other hatches on the island.......did I miss something or had the show stated this and I just missed it.

Also, this led me to believe that the door and the vent were blocked maybe because one of the other stations had a mutiny problem or something similar....
Anyways, I guess I was wondering if all this was already public knowledge and I just took too long in the bathroom on one of the episodes?

Tyree,

Yes, according to the Orientation film, there are supposedly six hatches on the island. The Locke-hatch is the Swan station. I think the film also showed the general location of the other hatches on the island, but I might be wrong about that.

We also saw a second hatch where AnaLucia and company were.

I second what PosseGal said.

I don't think they showed the locations of the other hatches, just a description of what each was supposed to be studying. Desmond's hatch was built to study the electromagnetic forces from that part of the island.

It did not give the locations of the other hatches, but we do know that the taileis were living inside the "arrow" station. I hope we get to see how that all played out on wednesday!! :)

I thank you all and I blame my recent purchase of a psp for my ignorance.

We didn't even know that any other stations were on the island until we found out that Ana-Lucia's posse were holed up at Arrow Station.

It was a fair assumption, though, and now seems like a safe bet.
