Random thought...does anyone know about the Esalen Institute? I know BF Skinner taught there and some of the things I've noticed on the show remind me of the Human Potential Movement. Does anyone with a better understanding see any ties to the show?

All i know is that much of the research performed at the centre is very similar to that which we've been led to believe is undertaken by Dharma. They study philosophy, psychology, religious studies, and sociology, among maaannnyyy other things, to understand and ensure the future evolution of mankind (sound familiar, utopian society?, remote viewing anyone?) What about the philosophy angle, John Locke was a famous philosopher who developed the original idea of tabula rasa.

Its a pretty interesting connection lateralus! Good catch!
