Well for one reason or another...the Others sent Claire back or she escaped never to be bothered again......

Claires baby is only supposed to be raised by her and her alone....(relationship with charlie is another thread...lol).....so we were left to feel last year that something was up with the baby.....

Is the baby" bad"? Is that why the Others came after Walt and left the baby alone?

Maybe the others didn't take Claire. We don't know if there is any connection with Danielle and the Others. We do know that Danielle had her though and she misinterpreted what she heard regarding wanting the child. What say you lost fans?

I think when they say "good" they mean good for their expirment or whatever it is they are doing. Not in the sense of good and bad character.

It was never clear on that. We know that Ethan took Claire and that she escaped somehow. Danielle could of been trying to get Claire free of Ethan for herself or just freeing her to get at the child later.

As for Aaron. I'd say from all the black and white images in Claire's dream that it may be a sign that he is on the edge of being either. It's not clear if he is one or the other yet since being a child is akin to being innocent and pure.

As Earendil mentioned, it doesn't appear the Others let Claire go. She seems to have escaped. If not, then why did Ethan try to get her back? She got away and Danielle had something to do with part of it. We just don't know whose side she was on.

i think that aaron is fundamentally bad and only with claire's guidence will he become a good person. maybe the others will be coming back for him once he's older...??

I agree with Robinhood - why would Ethan let her go then come back for her.

If it weren't for that fact, I'd say that, given the whole parapsychology aspect of Dharma, maybe the others have a similar ability to Claire's psychic, (you know, some baby-compatibility 6th sense) and knew that she would have to raise the baby herself. Maybe the feeling was so strong (as it was for the psychic) that despite all their evil-doings, they'd still rather she raised her scary baby herself, just in case.

But now I don't think that - I agree with Robinhood.:)
