Why would Michael and Hurley know about these?

To me this might be an in-joke with the movie Cliffhanger.

Now in this movie there are three cases of money and we are told that these cases are indestructable and you won't be able to open them.

Yet in the movie they are thrown from a great height and crash into the mountains where the evil dudes and Sly's character have to beat each other to get the dough.

But when Sly get's one of the cases, he wants to know what's inside so he picks up a rock and bashes open the lock with ease.

Hurley to me seems like he might be a nitpicker of movies and probably goes to AICN's alot, as for Michael he may just read those tech mags about stuff that comes out all the time.

technically it's a Zero Halliburton case (ZH is the company) and depending on your professsion, you may or may not know about them.

Michael says that he was in construction at some point- but we know it's not right now. And we don't know what Hurley was doing at all...

Michael said he was an architect, and then Jack asked him he thought he was in construction.

Michael said he was at one point but not any more.

So he wasn't lying about construction. But we all could be wrong considering with what happened to Kate.

I believe Michael was in construction until he was injured. We should know more when his episode airs.

I just looked on the Zero Halliburton website. Their cases have combination locks. :o

Oops.

My husband has one & it can be opened either with a key or a combination.
