I was half afraid to come here. Usually when I like an episode everyone else hates it...or I hate what everyone else likes. I'm glad to find others liked it as well.

Eko was so cool. So wise. He's da MAN! "I will just sit here'. ;)

I agree- this is my favorite eppy thus far. Even though I'd read the spoiler, the tension between AL, Libby,Bernard, Sayid, Jin and Michael was palpable and I adored the Locke/Eko scenes. They understand each other - they are two peas in a pod, birds of a feather. Perhaps they are like Enkidu and Gilgamesh - I would love that.

The ending was incredible, I absolutely bawled at Vincent and Michael, and the joy on Rose and Bernard's faces.......so worth the wait. And Jin and Sun? Wow, it was all so beautifully done.......

Awsome episode!!! I really liked it a lot. Maybe in the top ten as far as episodes go (I know that out of just over 30 episodes, top ten doesn't sound very high, but Lost is a high quality show, after all).

I was never a big Ana Lucia hater- in real life I might, but as a character, I like her- but now I actually do feel sympathy for her messed up state of mind. Lost is really showing us that it can still pack a punch.

I absolutely loved this episode. So much great character drama and development. We had characters dying (or on the verge of death anyway), characters yelling, characters crying, characters with guns...I was happy. :)

I wont say "best episode ever" but definately the best this season!

My favorite line tonight came from Sayid: "Who is that woman?!"

I thought I'd fall in the floor laughing!

I absolutely LOVED this eppy. Wow. I'm speechless. Well, kinda. lol It was extremely emotional and the writing was excellent. WOW. Yes, she lost her baby. Sad. Alright. I still hate her with a passion. Nothing will change that ever. I'm sorry but I really *eye twitch* don't.....like.....her. At all. I cannot even begin to write how much I despise her. If I were only in Sayid's shoes. Sayid is definitely going up on my favorites lists. I've always liked him but his character is AMAZING. I really admire him. But wow.

Definitely my favorite of this season.
Still no love for AL. Her backstory did nothing for me. It would have been sad for anyone else.
The ending was highly emotional and I really enjoyed seeing the interaction between Ecko and Locke.

I'll see your 'eight polar bears' and raise you one ;)

Great Episode I Think My detest for Ana is Slowly fadeing

I was never crazy about her, but I never did dislike her, because it was so obvious that she'd lost a child. With the way she reacted when the children were taken, and then when Goodwin asked her if she had any children, it was just way too obvious that her "no" had a heavy story behind it. Then when they focused on that baby in the domestic violence scene, any one of us could have written the rest of that story!

I think she's reacting wrongly, but who knows what we would do if we were in her shoes? I can't help but feel sympathy for her.

I thought there were a LOT of answers tonight....I was thinking at the end that if anyone complained about a lack of answers in this episode, it could only mean that they just cannot be satisfied unless every single detail is revealed in one episode.

I hate when people complain. You can't have all of the answers! The show would not be this interesting.

What answers did we get tonight?

lol....well, I guess for those who live on the spoiler boards, or those who watched the show and only saw "not enough Monster, not enough Others", there were none. But there were so many little things that were confirmed that have been discussed here, that I'm surprised that there wasn't more satisfaction from having those things laid to rest and/or resolved. Like (and this by no means covers it all), why Ana is so violent, what happened in her former life, why she reacted so strongly to the children being taken, that Sawyer really doesn't die, that Shannon really does, that Locke and Eko really do "click", the "reunion" which proved to everyone that Rose was right......just so many little satisfactory things. I guess it doesn't impress shoot-em-up-video-game or instant-food-drive-through types of people, but it impresses me.

I pose one question, and you've already stereo-typed me! Impressive!

I suppose I just understood that this episode would attempt to explain AL's behavior. I find it a ridiculous explanation, but maybe that's just me. I never doubted Sawyer would live, so that wasn't exactly and answer, I never doubted Shannon was dead, so that wasn't an answer either. We saw approximately 1 minute of interaction between Locke and Ecko, so I don't think we can say they 'click' yet, but I can agree that the reunion was nice. But we knew Rose was "right" ever since they introduced us to Bernard several episodes ago.

But I guess I should get back to my first person shooter, and I think I hear the doorbell - must be dominos.

I don't think it's in my top 5...but it was EXCELLENT! .

I did shed some tears at the end...and I loved the dynamic of the two groups mixing. It didn't really succeed in getting me to sympathize for Ana-Lucia (except for a few brief moments)...but there's potential there...

I suppose I just understood that this episode would attempt to explain AL's behavior. I find it a ridiculous explanation, but maybe that's just me.

It's not just you, I found the AL backstory a bit implausible. But I loved the episode over all. I've been wavering on Lost this season, and this ep kind of won me back.

AL is one of my main problems with this season, and I feel like if it were a different actress I could be more intrigued. Her backstory isn't necessarily any less plausible than some of the other people they've shown us.

But I was comforted by the reunions at the end of this ep, and by the logic that the other Tailies finally questioned AL. Bernard's reasoning about it made sense to me. When they were all following her, I kept going, "Come on"...I could see going along with her for a while in a dangerous situation, but at some point people do question authority.

anyway, overall, loved it. am happy again!

This show has never been just about questions and answers, mysteries posed and mysteries solved. Sure, that's part of it. But only a part. The characters and their journeys, past and present, have always been at the core. Reuniting with their missing friends and loved ones is a major part of this journey for so many of the main characters, and I found it not only necessary but extremely fulfilling.

Nah. As they say, "It ain't all about you, honey."

My answers were to the general population of the board; addressing some of the things I've read that people have speculated about. Like I said, it might not impress people who live on the spoiler boards, or people who are only looking for all the answers immediately, but I thought it tied things together very nicely. If you disagree, well, that's just about the biggest shocker of my life, cause it's certainly never happened to me before.

Well, and as I said (although perhaps it was in another thread), the reunion was nice. I enjoyed that bit of the show. But, as usual, this occurred in the last five minutes of the show. I did enjoy that scene, but the rest of the episode? Not so much.

This episode completely restored my faith in Lost. I have to admit I was iffy about some of this season's episodes, but God did they get it pitch-perfect this episode. Honestly, who didn't stop breathing for the last ten minutes? Simply wonderful.

Are you joking?

a) J.J. didn't write the show.
b) The greatest hour of programming in the history of television? Yeah, I guess you're right. The first moon landing couldn't measure up to this.
c) If J.J. is God, could you ask him why he let all those people die in the Holocaust for me?

Okay, before the thread goes into melodramatics about holocaust victims which doesn't really belong in this thread at all...

There were a number of things I loved about this eppy:

1. When Locke and Eko met, I got chills. It's the beginning of something big. You can just feel it.

2. I enjoyed watching Jack hurt while Kate attended Sawyer. It was an incredibly well-acted scene on MF's part.

3. I loved, loved, loved Michael telling AL to hit the road and finally saying what we all wanted to say: ARE YOU CRAZY?!

4. I loved seeing Sun's face when Michael came out of the jungle.

5. I loved seeing Locke side with Eko against Jack and Jack's reaction.

This episode was all about character interaction. While I did HATE AL's backstory (boring and predictable), I loved the interaction between the characters on the island.

Ok, i have never posted before..

But my first post is worthy of saying how much i loved this ep..

It was just what i want out of Lost - a character episode, it reminded me a lot of the first season and how most of the eps were based on the characters..

I really enjoyed it, i was looking forward to this episode since about ep 3, it was always going to be great..

i really enjoyed last night's episode. it's easily one of the better episodes of this season and a huge improvement on the last couple of episodes.

Not my absolute favorite, but I loved it!

As a Jack fan, I can't tell you how good it was to finally see him again! I swear to God I was starting to go into withdrawal! lol  And we got to see a huge range from his character during the episode, so I was a very happy camper.

All the meetings and reunions were awesome. I was eagerly awaiting the Locke/Eko encounter, and was not disappointed. Jin/Sun and Rose/Bernard made me get all misty-eyed (Micheal/Vincent was really touching too!) and that last shot of Jack and Ana was perfect.

I don't really understand what "fluff" is, but if this was it then stuff me in a pillow and fluff away because fluff is what I want to see. ;)

This episode was great! I taped it and have since watched my tape two more times. I just cried so much particularly when Kate whispered in Jack's ear and Sayid was talking with Ana Lucia. When Ana Lucia told Sayid she felt dead, he shared with her all the memories he has of the many men he killed and tortured and he tells her he feels dead as well, I was crying my eyes out. Then you see AL cut Sayid's binds, drops the gun at his feet and tells him to go and kill her, "I deserve it", Sayid's next line, "What good would it do to kill you if we are both already dead?" I just felt so bad for them. This was a wonderful episode!
