Does anyone else find it odd that NO ONE will step up and put AL in her place?

First, I can understand the taillies not wanting to make anymore problems than they already had, but Eko just takes her crap and does what she says (unless he has other plans). However, when she was standing there waving the gun around why wouldn't someone take her out, hit her with a rock, get the gun back? Michael and Jin are the biggest brawlers on the island, why were they letting her take control? I think someone could have done something to get the gun away from her. Eko could have gone back after he got to the hatch and stopped her.....I just don't get it? Why is everyone so afraid of her?

I'm sure its going to be Jack to bring her around.

But I'm sure Jack will do it in a "nice" way. I really want someone to treat her like she has treated everyone else. Hopefully Kate will get to help out!!

Eko has defied her on a few occasions. But I think it may be an unlikely character who will 'break' her. It may happen with her making a connection with someone who has her number, and forces her to look at herself more closely. Just my opinion.

I didn't sense fear from everyone else......I felt it was more like they were watching a train wreck headed their way. I almost sensed sadness laced with disgust and confusion coming from Michael. I don't believe they ever thought she would actually kill one of them, they just saw someone who made a terrible mistake and was now scared of what was to come.

And it has to be Jack that sets her straight. I could see her doin her tough act for a little with Jack and then absolutely crumbling in Jack's arms. She is a person who needs to be defined by people who need her. She doesn't have that in the fusies section of camp. She has to redefine herself.

I think that when she saw Jack it made her believe in something, whether it be destiny or fate, and this alone will soften her up a bit

I think Ana is already totally deflated. The scenes with Sayid, the way every one
walked away from her, she was left alone, the lines her and Sayid said to one
another, the look her and Jack gave to one another; I think Ana has lost her
fire, at least for now. However if the camp is invaded or threatened, I'm sure the
writers will get that fire started again.

I agree with Michelle and Diablo.

Ana Lucia had been put in her place. Her crew/team deserted her. She kinda admited defeat in letting Sayid go. She know now that they are joining the larger group, she's not gonna be a big fish in a little pond anymore.

Jack will push her into place and force her to stretch out of the hole she has mistakenly dug for herself.

Well, she seems pretty unstable and trigger happy to me, so they were probably not standing up to her because they were afraid she'd turn on them as well. It wasn't until Eko determined that Sawyer needed help ASAP that anyone stood up to her. And then they all did, one by one.

If you're seeking suggestions, I vote for Vincent.

If provoked, his bite might match her bark! :)
